Nah, it's dead. Family member moved to Spain because they're was no work in the US.

Id add that they passed a law making contract work very difficult, the person had to be employed by the studios. This made it very expensive for writers to contribute works hoping for a "show", extras, people working on crews filming for a few months, etc.

All it takes is one entity with gonads to leave the pack, and give off a perception that they are in a way better place. Once that filters to the other companies, and they get a headache from the state.... they follow suit.

Cali is operating on the premise that so many of these companies have such a bricks and mortar, as well as human resource footprint, that they cant move and have taxed them in this regard. Not just studios, but IT, small businesses, old established businesses etc.

Breed them all in one spot then force them to spread.

I absolutely agree with the idea of where you're coming from.
But in this particular case, Hollywierd doesn't need to spread.

Movie and TV industry moving into GA was about the time they started to shift from a reliable red state. That certainly wasn’t the complete cause of it, but it didn’t help.

You realize how absurd this is, 11 other state AGs are suing to keep Paramount in California. Why on earth would your state waste money to keep a business in California?
The USSC will not even hear this case if it ever got there. Its laughable, and terribly sad states that are so in debt would be wasting money on this nonsense.
