Are you suggesting that election fraud doesn't exist? You would say something moronic like that

It's meaningless. You are hiding behind it. It's clear.

And that thought process was lunacy that did not reflect reality. Crazy people commit crimes all the time for similar circumstances and I doubt you claim their crazy exonerates them.

I didn't say it should exonerate her. Quit making shite up.

ok. It is what it is.

The sentence is waaaaay out of line.

irrelevant in her trial, relevant to her pleading to the judge for leniency in her sentencing

based on the facts, she was justifiably convicted. she admitted that she did it

based on her statements for her motivation, her sentence was excessive but clearly the judge made an example out of her

I literally had the following in the post that you responded to:

And as it relates to a penalty for her crimes, it’s relevant.

Damn, Who's name and Who's computer?

Gerald Wood

quote:

The man at the center of the case against former Mesa county clerk Tina Peters took the witness stand on the third day of her trial.

Peters is accused of stealing the identity of Gerald Wood, a local Grand Junction area resident who works in IT, in order to let a different person attend a secure software update of her county’s voting machines in May, 2021.

Passwords for the machines and a video of the update were leaked online and copies of their hard drives have been used by people who doubt the accuracy of the 2020 election to hunt for evidence of fraud.

There are 4 main people involved.

Tina Peters

Conan Hayes. He was associated with Mike Lindell and his network of crazy. Peters got the ID so Hayes could access the data and I believe he took it.

Gerald Wood. He worked in IT. His identity/badge was used by Peters/Hayes to illegally access the data.

Online poster. I forget his name, but Hayes gave him the data, and he posted it online, publicly. No fraud was found from this data.

This LINK has a good summary

quote:

According to prosecutors, Hayes entered the elections room on May 23, when offices were closed and cameras had been turned off, to make a copy of the software of the elections system hard drive. On May 25, he returned to the room for the trusted build attended by Peters, plus representatives from the secretary of state and Dominion Voting Systems.

Surveillance cameras had previously been shut off on May 17, despite a longtime policy in Mesa County to leave cameras on 24/7.

quote:

Shapiro reminded jurors how Bishop, while attending a “cyber security” symposium in South Dakota in August 2021, around the time that Griswold launched her investigation into the elections security breach, called Peters’ then-Chief Deputy Belinda Knisley in Grand Junction asking her to go to the elections office and remove the election computer server. Knisley refused.

When Peters learned election system data and passwords had been posted to an online conspiracy site, she repeatedly told Knisley “I’m f***ed, I’m going to jail,” Shapiro said.

Yes she's the one I was thinking of.

Apparently her sons unit gave her his Trident after his death and they don't have a problem with her wearing it so I'll reserve my opinion on that.

To the story, yea, sound's like a gaggle of dumbasses who got caught with their hands in the cookie jar.

From re-reading, it seems like this may be all stemming from her grief/PTSD from her son's death, which makes the QAnon/Lindell charlatans that much bigger pieces of shite for seizing on her weakness due to her son's death to manipulate her into these crimes.

What I get is they were doing what all sides do and they were dumb enough to get caught. Or maybe think because of who go elected their charges would be over looked like others have been.

The data in no way showed any fraud. Just more conspiracy nonsense where the facts don't' support it. QAnon bullshite.
