Florida Effective reproduction numbers

Looks like coof has run its course in Florida just in time for fall break. Nice that this thing will be up North and not the South as the seasons change, time to load up on Vit C, D, and zinc Yankees.

I just came back from a very perfectly and conveniently timed beach trip to Destin with extended family and friends and I was struck about how in Florida, I saw maybe no more than 8-10 masks for the two weeks I was there. And the usual suspects were the mask wearers.

It was so startling to see and me and family/friends kept making note of it. It reminded me of what life was like in 2019 before this Covid bullshite ruined this country.

And then I come home to Louisiana and see masks everywhere.

What a huge difference a Governor makes.

I live in The Villages, the largest, most active retirement community in the U.S. Everyone over 55.

It is in Central Florida near Orlando.

We dance every night in open air Town Squares with no masks. We attend Tribute Bands at 1000 seat theatres. We had College Colors Days with Alumni Marching when their fight songs were played. Life is good in Florida.

I'm in South Carolina and mask wearing here is very sporadic.

I live in Florida. We haven’t really worn mask or avoided crowds since all the bullshite started outside of schools last year and at the beginning. Been living life like normal. I’ve had Covid and it whipped my arse but I’ll take my freedom over your fear mongering. I’d rather fricking die than not be able to live.

What's the cost of living like in the Panhandle not near the beach?

Move somewhere like Milton and it’s fairly affordable. Move to the beach like me - your looking at paying 350k for a 4b 2b mass produced house. Housing market is out of control down here but I own two homes so equity looking real nice.

Yep.

That's what Joy Behar, Bill (lurch) de Blasio, Andrew Cuomo and his little brother 'Fredo', Whoopi Goldberg, Trevor Noah, Debra Messing, Sarah Silverman, Bette Midler, John Mayer, little Chuckie Schuemer, Joy Reid, Alyssa Milano, Cher, Don LeMon, Stephen Colbert, Joe (I may have killed an Intern) and Mika (because she wears the pants) Brzezinski, Chelsea Handler, Jimmy Kimmel, George Stephanopoulis, George Lopez, Lori Lightfoot, Jenny Durkan, Brian Stelter, Ted Wheeler, Elizabeth "Libby" Schaaf, Muriel Bowser, John Bel Edwards, Jay Inslee, Gavin Newsom, Nancy Pelosi, Ralph Northam and good ol' (Stretchn) Gretchen Whitmer all tell us.

How could it be any other way.

That's basically where we are locally in shreveport. You can't get anything less than 350k in a good area

I’ve been in FL since Monday, leaving tomorrow, I’m actually surprised at the cucks wearing masks in Publix and on the fricking beach. I’ve seen kids walk down the boardwalk in masks. My explanation is that they are leftist losers from the north.

Other than that, trip has been glorious

It sounds like you have a lot of dems in your area.

WI has a dem Governor and very few people are wearing masks in my part of the state.

As far as I'm concerned wearing a mask is the same as wearing a Biden shirt.

I'm in one of the parishes that JBE lost in 2019 after he won it in 2015.

Like Obama winning Indiana in 2008 but losing it in 2012.

Rebecca Kleefisch just announced for Governor. Your thoughts?

She says the right things but I am not a fan of females in power.

See Noem and her vetoing their tranny law.

The have a tendency to not stay conservative.
