If the worthless ReCucks had passed/pushed through some decent election integrity legislation my prediction would be the Rs likely holding Congress.
However, with Iran and inflation weighing on the minds of tens of million of Americans I think I'll stick with my prediction about the midterms shortly after the Iran military operation kicked off.
I said if the Iran situation wasn't settled before mid summer of 2026 the Rs likely lose control of Congress.
Something that could possibly change my prediction is a favorable wrap up of the Iran military operation before the end of October with the US being globally recognized as the clear victor and the immediate reduction of crude oil from over $100/barrel to under $70/barrel. If the Iran shite show is still dragging on and if inflation is still running over 3-4% when midterm voting commences it's going to be very difficult for Rs to win the midterms.
I'll still be voting a straight R ballot because the current iteration of the Democratic Party (Democratic Socialists) should never be in power of Congress or the presidency again lest we have another Biden Debacle with millions of illegals flooding the US again.

Y’all are aware that there are many more people who don’t have big diesels and other sundry fuel-guzzling soccer mom SUVs, eh? At one point in time the trendy phraseology for what y’all are protesting about was “first world problems”.

That’s a great answer if we’re playing checkers. Unfortunately the word is chess and the transportation costs of your widget to the shelf will increase due to diesel increasing and that increase will be passed along to you, the end consumer.

I can't help but think that if the Ds EVER develop a coherent platform and could find a rational, fully-hinged candidate, they might actually win an honest election.

Yeah but unfortunately I haven’t seen that rationale mentioned barely any, and instead it’s the me me me, notably so here amongst us on this board. Me and my F-250 pulling whatever the toy may be that’s unattainable to 75% of the country. And no Im not directing anything at you personally - just general observations.

This election should be a cakewalk for the GOP.
High fuel prices, continued sticky inflation, war with Iran, and high grocery prices will cause many independent voters to stay home. We lose the young male support that was much needed in the last election.
We lose the house by a handful, and I am hoping senate goes 50/50 with Vance as a tie breaker, but I see we lose the senate 51/49.
This election should be a cakewalk for the GOP.

No man. The Republicans pissed away their opportunity because as much as the democrats are a fractured party, the republicans are more-so. Thune and company HATE Trump, they HATE MAGA, and they will stop at nothing to get their party back. They stabbed their voters in the back because they hate them for thinking they know better on how to rule.
So no, the republicans will be decimated at the polls and rightfully so. We saw this in 2018, we will see it again. It sucks but it’s their own doing.
