If the federal government requires kids to attend school, then the government should provide security. Just because it’s a “private” school doesn’t make a difference. All kids of all races and religions attend public and private schools.

Are you saying that just because these kids don’t attend government funded schools that they don’t deserve the same protections? Even though their parents pay taxes to fund government schools.

You literally made this up. Why do you want people to advocate for that stuff? It doesn’t make sense that you are wishing that I support gender-affirming nonsense for kids while also lashing out at me for supporting it even though I’ve never given any indication I support anything like that.

It sounds like you are arguing to abolish private schools and have them all fall under the purview of the government.

Do you support a prison inmate receiving gender assignment care?

Simply Yes or no

the small government conservatives will be here to explain how using public money to pay for the private security of private organizations is a tenet of small government conservativism.

The law says you have to go to school... so yes, all schools need security and if there is a state fund for such, private schools should not be left out.

Should the government provide paid details to homeschooled kids?

My position is that public money should not fund overhead for private organizations.

I'm o.k. with that with exceptions for certain industries that help guarantee national security, but if that's your stance then why did you melt when DOGE was finding waste and people were fired as a result?

Not all of those people worked directly for the government, you know.

Some worked for NGOs, PPPs, various non-profit organizations, and Professional Advocacy organizations that receive some kind of government subsidies in various forms. (Including a metric ton that get grants, etc. to further women's causes.)

It would be if you were being consistent.

No, the government should stop its unconstitutional mandate that forces children to go to school.

But as long as they keep that going, then yes.

I dunno, are private residences usual targets of MASS SHOOTINGS?

Have any homeschool families ASKED for paid details?

I’m wondering if you have the same concerns with our spending in Ukraine?
That’s a ridiculous stupid take. The government’s number one reason for existence is to protect the citizens of its own country. Especially children. Democrats are more concerned with protecting illegals and foreign countries.

Melt? I wanted to see evidence the waste and we were never provided any. We got random doctored and vague “receipts” that were unable to be substantiated.

I didn’t trust what the government was selling.

But conservatives!!!!

Pay attention love. The thread is about Tim Walz, who ran in part on keeping kids safe from school shootings, being duplicitous about the matter. Conservatives don’t have a seat at the table in Minnesota so you can’t blame them.

Should the state provide free textbooks to private schools? Should private schools be able to participate in subsidized meals for students? Exactly what should private schools get from the state?

You wouldn't have to.

All you'd need are your recently found rock solid principles of small government.

Right?

Especially for—but not limited to—the NGOs, PPPs, etc.

The government shouldn't have to talk you into being for reducing the size of the huge, sprawling government we have now. If you really adhere to small government principles.

But for somebody who loves her some small government (all of a sudden), you sure didn't love it then. All of four months ago or so.

(You live by trying to point out hypocrisy, you die by hypocrisy).
