I, like many of you, loved to hate Tim Tebow when he was in college. I taunted him with the cell phone gesture in tiger stadium in 2007.

Fast forward to present:

I have fully come around 180 degrees on him as a person. I saw him testify in front of congress this week discussing human trafficking. He was very passionate.

My question is: Does anyone else think he has a role or place in US politics? He represents everything the far left hates, but is a big name that people from both parties know of.

D.C. is a cesspool.

They'd spend every hour of the day trying to corrupt or frame him.

I think he is squeaky clean. I think he could take it.

I think he'd rather chop off a leg.

Tim Tebow serves God not man. I don't see anyway he would wade into the cesspool that is Washington DC and American politics.

He's doing exactly what he should be doing and hopefully he doesn't get corrupted by the type of sewer trach that would steer him in the direction of the filth of Washington DC.

Tim Tebow, because he serves God not man, can not be corrupted.

He hasn't changed much. He's always been an upstanding citizen and man of God. You only hated him cause he wore a gators jersey.

I never disliked Tebow because I’m not a fig and I wasn’t 10 years old when he was playing at Florida. He was always a good and principled person

Is that what I said or what you wanted to hear so you could object?

I would say no, simply base on how immoral and corrupt the machine is against those that oppose it.

I'd prefer to see him do like he is and represent causes that he is passionate about and can devote time to as a representative without fear of retribution or scandal.

I'm not so sure about that. Elway is an arse and treated him as such but I doubt he'd still be playing. Anyway, he's serves the world better not playing football.

Tebow has always been a great human being and from all accounts, he’s as genuine as they come. He worked with his parents as a missionary from a young age and this helped to teach him about humility and how to be grateful. I’ve always admired him.

He’s a great guy with immense character and bravery. I don’t think he’s the absolute sharpest tool in the shed and would likely get destroyed in the swamp. I mean this from an ability to understand complex policy/law/etc.

Honestly I’d rather just see him continue to do good for people far away from politics and continue to use his status to bring certain things to light.

He scored a 22 on the Wonderlic. 2 points above average. He's perfect for politics.

Agreed. People still crap on him because he promotes godly living through example. Its the weirdest thing. He is a great example for all young boys and men to follow.
