Good riddance, though I was really looking forward to not voting for him again.

Tillis not running makes it far more likely that a democrat will win the race

I know voting patterns have changed, but over the last fifty years North Carolina has had only a few Democratic Senators, most serving only a single term.

Some of the cuts that have been made has effected of more rural areas of NC.

Biden signed a deal with state for 100% cleanup after the floods and few months ago FEMA cut part of the money. They are still cleaning debris

Local farmers Government-subsidized funds were cut that provided food to local schools, food banks, and local markets. This hurts small farms, because their prices can’t compete with the large corporate farms that get goods from Mexico and California.

DOGE cut Tobacco Prevention and Control branch within the N.C. Department of Health and Human Services. This is something Tobacco companies have been lobbying for for years.

DOGE cut Teacher and School Leader Incentive Program. This cut millions of dollars in grants that go schools, teachers pay, STEM, and teaching recurring programs. It cut $25 million in Wake and Mecklenburg counties.

North Carolina was affected by cutting USAID. NC received over $1 billion in funds for humanitarian aid programs focused on hunger and disease programs, universities, and nonprofits.100’s of people were laid off.

NC had almost $2 billion of federal funds cut and a few thousand people lost their jobs.

This will make for great Democrat commercials:
1. Trump cut millions of dollars for hurricane and flooding cleanup.
2. “Trump cut millions for teachers and farmers”
3. Interviews with people that have lost their jobs.
4. Trump cut money for food that went to schools and food banks.

This will make red areas a little closer and the cities will stay blue.

I live in NC, there have been a lot of Californians, New Yorkers and others from deep Blue States. They are not Republicans and turn out for elections. Elections are very close and the state is not deeply red.

Dirty laundry in the closet. He’s no fool and is jumping ship as he knows there is no longer a fence to walk.

Unless you are stuck in a time warp, 2019 is not 2025.

Carry on with your TDS fueled melt though.

And Trump just gave a 6,000 USD tax cut to North Carolineans and took thousands of illegals off their hands. Id say thats more than a fair trade

True, blueberry/strawberry farm had them trucked in to pick. After Obama, in about 2012 I saw more illegals in NC than I had seen in Fla. and TX.

Don't forget Obama giving them the EIC and they got $45K claiming their madres in Mexico and 17 kids and chickens.

It’s not about “fair” or what has been accomplished, but the optics of what was cut.
