Muslims gathering to pray.

Evil is real and it comes in many forms.

It's not the guns, it's not Trump, it's not "whiteness".

Evil is the embrace of Godlessness.

Very tragic. No justifiable reason to kill innocent people.

we don't live under the old testament. We are commanded to love others as we love ourselves.

Know what else we are commanded to do? Spread the gospel, including to Muslims. Have you done that? All this other stuff is just a distraction.

I sure have.

Nothing distracting about it.

Evil, including Islam itself, does not need to visit Muslims at prayer.

That's all well and good but I would remind you no one on this board has killed anyone. It was some dude in New Zealand, not us.

Agreed.

Evil Ideas also need to die. Ignoring Evil won't make it go away. The "some dude" you referred to was poisoned by something.

Suggest you do some reading and research into what has happened to missionaries who have tried to 'spread the Gospel to Muslims.'

This guy wasn’t Christian, and I don’t think any believe in gunning down people minding their own business, much less women begging for life.

Suggest you re-evaluate your Faith. Those "missionaries" knew what they were doing and did it anyway. Don't try to diminish their efforts due to your own lack of conviction.

Suggest you be the good little Christian you imagine yourself to be and not attack out of the blue. No Muslim country allows the spreading of religion other than Islam. Anyone who attempts to evangelize is killed.

As for my conviction, you don't know a damned thing about it. Now carry on feeling holier than thou!

Many commandments, laws and life lessons taught in the Old Testament are reaffirmed in the New. And thou shall not kill is certainly one of those.

You know what Jesus said love was? It was obedience to the the moral law of God as defined by the 10 commandments. Why do you think he said to love God with all your heart, soul, mind, and strength (first 4 commandments) and love your neighbor as yourself (last 6 commandments)?

If you are lawless, you don't belong to Christ.

Not trying to obfuscate, but the commandment reads literally “ Thou shalt not murder” rather than “kill.” Now murder is what took place in New Zealand and should be rightfully condemned by not only either testament but also by secularists.
But there are justified killings; self defense, protect others, free the enslaved etc.

You are right. Even the Bible provides such evidences in terms of self defense, war, and capital punishment at the hands of the state.

I was more commenting on the notion that we don't need to worry about the 10 commandments any more because that's Old Testament stuff and we're all about love now.

Good luck with that dude.

While I agree, the paracticality of realizing that dream is nill.

If platitudes are what drive you why not go for world peace. About as likely to happen. We are dealing with the human race across the globe. You want diversity, there you go. There is a huge spread of opinions and life styles; along with tendencies towards violence. Add mental illness: poof just like that your dream is gone.

Where the heck is thou shalt not kill? It isn't in the bible. If you think it is in the bible you have succumbed to the devils plans.

It is Thou shall not murder... big difference!

If you care to do your research, the word is, "thou shall not commit murder".
There is a difference.

You and the other 2 or 3 people making this claim have absolutely no idea what you're talking about. The original Hebrew writing is 2 words in length and has ALWAYS been translated to "thou shalt not kill" up until about the mid-20th century.

As it's so often the case, a nonreligious person knows more about the Babble than the "Christians," one of whom stated that he "doesn't give a frick" that 49 innocent people were murdered for being Muslim. Jesus would be so proud of you.
