You're awfully confident.

Any chance this works out for the Dems?

yeah if they can keep mud slinging without recourse or proof that can obviously work

i don't think they're going to lose the house and may win the Presidency (but who the frick knows at this point b/c we have no idea who will win)

i was saying earlier that IF they do lose? the far Left is going to go utterly fricking insane

With good reason. Rule of law would be turned upside down. e.g. DOJ was arguing in court this morning that Trump legit could shoot someone and can't be investigated.

While i find that silly, let me know when he's actually done something that someone without TDS should give a frick about

c'mon, what?

They're not arguing it? The courts won't uphold it?

When this conspiracy theory inevitably fails to get the bad orange man, will you deny you believed in it just like you deny you believed in the Russian collusion hoax?

That's because I'm always reasonable.

But hell. 90% of what Democrats claim Trump did is bald faced lies and the other 10% is shite that I"m like, "yeah, and?"

Sorry. Being my political opponent doesn't suddenly confer immunity from investigation upon you.

you're also taking an extreme legal hypothetical, which is made for specific purposes of a constitutional issue (b/c you have to push the literal extremes), as a serious argument. it's rhetorical and not tactile, if you want to think of it that way.

Well, sure. We're not at risk of a presidential shooting spree (I suspect Trump has never fired a gun).

But the fact that the lawyers are arguing so absolutely that a sitting president can't be investigated is ridiculous. The left and the right should oppose that idea. Especially government-fearing libertarians.

real libertarians aren't worried b/c it's a silly argument that won't win

it's the same as the insane arguments immigration attorneys have been making while judge shopping to get those injunctions that have basically all been slapped back. just lawyer stuff

What exactly would I have to deny that I believe in here?

The entire body of Congress is the DAs office in this analogy

no DA's office use an entire staff for one investigation. The OP isn't accurate. This is closer to a grand jury as said. This is not the trial. They still can't do the indictment vote without the full panel.

This is 100% what occurs in a grand jury 99.99999% of the time.
