It's cops like this that chip away good faith in law enforcement.

LAPD body-camera video played in court Thursday directly contradicts an officer’s sworn testimony in the case of a man arrested after a hit-and-run accident, a CBS2 News investigation has learned.
And a defense attorney even claims the video proves an officer planted drugs on the man.
LAPD officer Samuel Lee left a Van Nuys courtroom Thursday after a defense attorney showed Los Angeles Police Department bodycam video that he says caught the officer in a lie. The officer had no comment.
“He looked dumbstruck to me,” attorney Steve Levine said. “Period. He had really no answer.”

All cops are bad.
Problem is, this sentiment gets fortified in certain communities when these bad cops are caught.

What a stupid statement to make.

I wish cops would plant cocaine in my pocket.

Imagine how much of this went on before the advent of body cams. LAPD has a sordid history.

Happens everyday.
That's a problem.

Hell, this is kind of shite MAGA is supposed to clean up. At least implement law and order at the executive level and hope law and order becomes systemic in American fabric.

I fully support a law requiring body cameras running at all times on all police officers, and I also support throwing out any conviction where the officer has willfully turned off his/her body cam.

Charlottesville showed what exactly MAGA meant.

If the criminal did something bad adding cocaine will make his sentence longer which will keep more people safe. He could've also been a hard to catch criminal and the cocaine gave them a good reason to put him in jail. It's disgusting to me how many of y'all don't back the badge

This my be a odd perspective, but if the cop would try to plant evidence knowing there were body cameras turned on is he even smart enough to be a cop?

According to the article, the bodycams automatically record the previous 30 seconds when they are switched to record. It seems the officer did not realize this.
Doesn't really change your overall point though. Dude is a grade A moron for sure.
