Singapore is probably the most successful modern day authoritarian government. I find it funny that MUH democracy peddlers never acknowledge this fact.
So, what are you trying to say?

Most of the people I met lived in govt provided housing.
It’s not at all government housing in the sense we do it.
They are subsidized, and workers are forced to save money to buy them.
Because they are still expensive and they own them, they don’t treat them like government programs. They treat them like they own them, and they get to participate in their appreciation in value.
It’s a very, very good system, especially in a stupidly expensive place.

Probably that if you give him the choice between our democracy and their benevolent (and still somewhat accountable) dictatorship, it’s not an easy choice.
If Singapore ever went as corrupt as our government, then that decreased accountability would be a problem.
That being said, do we honestly believe we have accountability here?

Simple logic here. Why have both parties come out against TikTok? Because they can't control it like the other state sponsored social media sites. See now? Simple.

I arrived in Singapore 4-5 times from Europe at late night 12-100 am and all airport services would be shut down including first class lounges. Waiting for the ongoing flight at 6 am meant finding a spot on the floor to stretch out. Singapore floors are really the cleanest in the world
