holy shite at the ignorance

THE TREASURY DEPT OFFERED THE POST OFFICE A 10 BILLION DOLLAR LOAN IN JUNE.

but more importantly.....THE POST OFFICE IS ALREADY FUNDED THROUGH 2021. Any talk of "funding" it is referencing a potential bailout in 2021.

The current usps delays have nothing to do with funding. Period. end of story.

What are you talking about????

It is routine to move/remove mailboxes, and many of the pics were fake anyway.

over 12,000 boxes were removed between 2013-2016.

There’s a shite ton of rural areas where the USPS is the only option. Amazon, Fed Ex, UPS depend on USPS to deliver to these places that are not within their delivery capacity.

The reason Amazon, FedEx and UPS use the USPS to deliver to these is because it is cheaper for them to do us the USPS since the federal law is it has to cost the exact same to deliver to rural areas as it does to deliver everyone else.

If the USPS went away I am willing to bet that Amazon, FedEx and UPS would figure out a way to deliver to those areas.

most people like the PO, for SOME reason its terrible 80 days before this election.

djt is planting the idea that mail in
Voting is bad, minus him & co.

Why is this even an issue right now other than support the PO at least till
After the election.

Don't come at me with the PG us NOW not implementing changes until after the election.

Nobody was talking about the PO until Mr gonna lose said anything.

I'm not tremendously tolerant of completely made up bull shite

No one gave a frick about the post office until DEMOCRATS demanded shite tons of money to pay for their "mail in voting" pet dumb idea.

THEN, Trump RESPONDED to their stupidity.

You don't need that many now.

ShortyRob, being the foremost expert on the USPS, has decided that we don't need these, it doesn't matter that wait times for mail are getting worse.

You do know that mail is more than just letters & postcards, correct?

Packages shipped through USPS have doubled in the last 10 years.

Total pieces shipped in 2020 through 3 quarters are well below 2019. 2019 was below 2018 which had dropped from 2017 - this includes packages. Seriously, it has been dropping every year - why are you trying to argue otherwise?

Doesn't require any expertise on the post office to know that the post office volume has been shrinking for decades

If I'm not mistaken, I think Trump walked himself in to this one...

“They need that money in order to have the post office work so it can take all of these millions and millions of ballots,” Trump said in an interview with Fox Business’s Maria Bartiromo. “If they don’t get those two items, that means you can’t have universal mail-in voting because they’re not equipped to have it.”

The USPS isn’t designed to make money. What has really fricked up USPS is the pre-funding of health benefits up front

They still lost 20 billion if you take this out. Further, they defaulted on these payments like crazy (so lets not pretend they were making them all). Finally, them physically putting cash away differs from other entities, but accruing a liability would occur anyways which would have hit the bottom line.

In other words, like volume, you have no clue what you are taking about. You should probably go for a walk or something while the adults talk

That is literally saying that the post office doesn't currently possess the capability for the Democrats fantasy plan. How that would be Trump's fault is beyond me. They're basically blaming him for not funding their fantasy which is f****** stupid
