Well, DOGE doesn't have the authority to do that.

They can absolutely recommend it and then implement it upon approval.

Why are you all so obsessed with trolling and “owning” everyone? Just Imagine if you worked in a place where this was the work place culture.
Your company send you on a business trip and now you are stuck with a $1 limit. You think you would be happy about that?

Sounds like fake news to me...

Solid workaround.
But still not ideal because closing all those accounts helps in future fraud waste mitigation. Limiting stops the bleeding but all those accounts accumulated over years.
Close them now.

We want the spending to end.
If they can troll along the way thats just extra credit.

Imagine not caring how your tax dollars are wasted.
Unless you don’t pay taxes.

I care—I’m just an adult and don’t make rash decisions based on video game logic.

Maybe you don’t pay a lot of taxes.

How about a workplace where theft and incompetence are the norm, no one knows where/how most of the money is spent, the managers cut shady deals with their family to steal from the company, other companies blatantly rip off IP, merit has no bearing on advancement, and the shareholders are so pissed that they voted to fire the last CEO.

Any company can reach out to the banks and set their spending limit. It's a smart workaround.
However, I would hope it isn't a blanket order across ALL cards. That would be completely counterproductive and added bureaucracy.

As ceo of the executive branch, President Trump can and did do. Too many dicks to the face or a lack of education?

It isn't, and it will be problematic causing a whole lot of headaches.

Almost all govt travel is unnecessary. There are no problems in shutting down these cards.
