Needing a concealed carry permit while not needing one for open carry makes no fricking sense.

While I applaud this, my only concern would be travel to other states where a carry permit is reciprocated...

Carry permits do have an advantage.
Here in the gump, they don't run your info if you have a valid carry permit on gun purchases.
You still have to fill out the paperwork, but you simply sign and walk out without the info having been faxed/called in.

In FL the 3 day wait for a gun is waived with the concealed carry permit.....but they do run your info with FDLE.

Not here. You fill out the paperwork and they file it but do not run it at time of purchase.

Step 1: abolish concealed carry, even by law enforcement
Step 2: MANDATORY open carry by ALL un-interdicted citizens above the age of majority
Step 3: MANDATORY gun safety and marksmanship classes in all schools
Step 4: legalized dueling where participants forfiet their right to sue for damages or have their injuries covered by health insurance of either party
Step 5: ABOLISH all gun-free zones unless the property owner provides security to ensure guns cannot be brought in, and the property owner offers a gun-check.
We would be a much safer and more pollite society.

It doesn't take very long; 15 minutes at the most

The 2nd Amendment applies in all States. Requiring a permit to concealed carry is an infringement therefore unconstitutional.

If gay marriage is a Constitutionally protected right and applies to any state you happen to be in, how can individual states not recognize the right to carry? The 2nd is actually part of the Constitution, and is clearly stated, gay marriage isn't. How is this explained.

The Dakotas are one of the last bastions of rational political thought in this country.

Gay couples that are married and want to travel should also get a marriage incense in order to be recognized in other states?

Holy fascism batman. You want the government to force people to carry guns? Force private business to operate in a certain way?

I seriously DGAF about gay couples; I'm talking about concealed carrying IF you travel to another state and your state says you don't need a permit.

Yeah, good luck with that... It is a nice thought and while I do not disagree with you on principle, on practicality, you let me know how it works out for you...
It would be nice ownership and carry was standard from state to state BUT unfortunately it is not the world we live in and it is not going to change...
