Could it be Biden’s economy?

You would think there would have been a big jump during Covid though.

I think the bigger issue in the Bud Light fiasco is what Heinerscheid said about changing their image. Putting Mulvaney on cans was tone deaf, but her comments about the brand historically having a 'fratty' image was the kill shot. She essentially said they want to move away from the group that has historically been their core customers.

As stupid as it was to virtue signal with Mulvaney, shitting on their core customers was even dumber.

Who or what started this ESG scoring?

Not sure where it started, but ESG is explicitly written directly into that $1.7T federal spending bill that Potato signed into law in December 2022. If you look at the timing of when this Alissa VP cvnt starting talking about the superbowl ads being Bud Light's "elevated/evolved" paradigm shift into DEI, this would make sense that you can follow the money to December 2022 when $1.7 trillion is up for grabs with woke DEI/ESG crap.

The capitalist system has been hijacked by communists.

What if I told you the people running the banks and investment markets aren’t actually capitalist because they don’t want competition?

I’d argue they are closer to fascist than capitalist at this point because they want a strong unified government controlled by them which can pick winners via regulations to maximize profits for the remaining corporations while reducing the power of workers via open borders which lowers labor costs and again maximizes profits.

Throw in digital currencies run by the central banks and you now have total control and visibility over the economy meaning you can choke out and destroy anyone who opposes your agenda via ESG social credit scores and outright bank account confiscations as we just saw in Canada and is common place in China.

Reduced competition -> increased profits
Reduced uncertainty via elections -> increased profits
Open borders to lower wages -> increased profits
CB Digital Currency -> increased profits

Everything happening is happening because they are ending the facade of a capitalist marketplace in favor of a pseudo command economy controlled entirely by the central banking families.

We've read that when Inbev took over, they moved all marketing offshore... starting around 2015.

Could have dropped back to this and recovered most sales in a week.

Are we supposed to feel bad for them or something. Most customers don’t want to see politically motivated product placement and don’t care about ESG scores.

Thanks to the influences of "free Trade" with China.

Most people on the right side of aisle won't see this. Decades of CATO Institute and U.S. Chamber of Commerce propaganda is strong.

A good analogy to "free trade" are like teachers' unions negotiating with local politicians. The local tax payers have no representation because the local politicians have been bought off and the local tax payers get screwed.

Same thing with trade. Multinationals funneling money to politicians to negotiate "free trade" with other countries and subsequently screwing over Americans when almost 100% of Americans believe that our politicians would at least fight for fair trade.

It's too complicated of a scheme for a majority of Americans to watch it unfold in front of their eyes.
And no doubt that the burden of laws, acts and regulations the Gov places into the FAR is meant to weed out as many 1099 contractors and small business as possible.

Maybe a sidebar benefit will be to get more people TO STOP DRINKING BEER.

The country is fat as shite. There's probably a couple billion pounds of excess fat just from beer. which provides some of the emptiest calories available.

I think organized stock shorters (using ESG and other techniques) are why these companies are going "woke". Lots of money to be siphoned off by hurting good companies.

Mitt Romney was a pro at it. Jim Cramer was pretty good, too.

Maybe...but it's the difference between dying from a slow decline to old age or putting a shotgun in your mouth.

I don’t think this was a business move at all. I think these companies try to play the DEI game in a way to keep the cancel mob at bay and placate woke bankers. In the process, theyll hire some pink-haired executive and quickly realize they can’t control her/she.

Kind of looks like the price has been degrading for 5 years or so. It's not solely a Bud Light issue for InBev/AB.

I suspect the Dylan Mulvaney thing was something that the big guys at AB were ignorant of until it happened. I don't know why these corporations feel the need to bring is a DEI consultant and change their focus. Men buy beer by the 6-12 and case quantities......women by and large to not....and the gays that I know have money and when they buy beer or booze, they are going high end. Budweiser is working class and frat boy beer designed to be consumed in mass quantities.

By the way, I miss the old Michelob.

Really have not bought any InBev/ AB products other than Stella Artois in years for home consumption. Now, Miller High Life stays in the fridge for consumption after yardwork.....you can't beat it when you are hot, sweaty and full of dirt

You sir... have asked the right question.

We can't possibly boycott all these businesses. Have to go to the root.

Look up James Lindsay and start reading and watching. He'll fill you in much more than I can.

Woke is rooted in Marxism. What's going on is not dissimilar from Mao's cultural revolution.

ESG, woke, gender, race, intersectionality are the new weapons of fracture.
