You’ve been voting for three decades and you still think a third party is possible. That’s adorable.

Voting for an utter incompetent like Gary Johnson is just stupid.

and Trump is for all intents and purposes 3rd party

No matter how emphatically you state your opinion, it doesn’t change the fact that it’s an opinion.

You guys keep thinking you’re going to elect a politician that is going to “drain the swamp.” Who is the bigger dreamer?

I think Trump is a stop gap until socialism is inevitably pushed on us

Blind you are, our padawan. shite is rapidly changing. It started with Obama winning. Then Trump. We are wanting change. Both sides are fighting these days. Internet censorship, news censorship and bias... everything is speeding up. Collectively we are spoiled brats and we need to learn and unite or we will go down divided.

Yeah, because if you hadn't pulled the lever for R in a borderline purple state like Georigia? (not sure where you live) then the Dems would have totally won.
Idiot.

He had no shot at winning but the Libertarian Party could have gotten the required 5% of the popular vote and received matching funds for the next election and we would have had better funded 3rd party option, but sure that was a "stupid" vote.
Keep pulling the lever for Rinos, that's the much smarter play.

Muh matching funds!

Tell me your path to a viable 3rd party option.

There is none within the current system. I’m an adult and quit believing in fairy tales.

There is, but it takes D's pulling the lever for someone other that a D and R's pulling the lever for someone other that an R.
Especially in states where it costs the prominent candidate nothing.
The whole "A vote for a 3rd party is a vote for Hillary" nonsense we heard so much of in 2016, is everything that is wrong with our current system.
It's complete and utter bullshite in every state that isn't a "purple" or "swing state".

Matching funds can’t beat party infrastructure, Super PACs, media, etc. It’s a hopeless endeavor.

As long as a majority thinks that way, you're correct.
But if folks actually have the courage of their convictions, then that could change.

Blame the sorry state of third parties for not inspiring confidence. There is a reason Ron and Rand Paul did not run as third party candidates.

They should have. At least they would have made the Presidential ticket.

I believed once and ended up helping Clinton get elected.
Still feel bad about that.
