Did you really just compare and equivocate a mayor tearing down a confederate statue and calling a spade a spade with the Japanese bombing of Pearl Harbor?

The part you are failing to recognize is that while you try and make this all the mayor's fault, the mayor's rationale has just been proven right. Which further makes comparing a completely unjustified attack like Pearl Harbor that more ridiculous. But let's run through it for good measure:
- People call for confederate monuments to be removed/renamed because they claim they are shrines for modern-day white supremacists and symbols of oppression.
- Monuments start the process to be removed because, well, the mayor agrees with them and decides it is a correct point.
- In protest, white supremacists make torch-lit pilgrimages to these monuments like the KKK and chant "Jews will not replace us" and "blood and soil" - bringing us full circle and proving correct the people who wanted them removed in the first place.

To which their little 35 year old virgin meet and great essentially just serves to hasten the process more then anything...Not that it surprises me Jason Kessler and the people that showed up to his rally are dense. You don't exactly end up in a white supremacist mob that looks like you just finished raiding a Pier 1 Imports by being a deep thinker.

I mean, I'm not sure of the exact definition of a legit white supremacist, but after watching the vids, they aren't the most inclusive types. I'm team statue and some of the behavior was uncalled for and embarrassing. I have no problem admitting that but they don't represent my views in the slightest.
