But you are ok with forcing a woman who was raped to have the baby? Ok with giving the rapist parental rights? SMDH

This is laughable. Of course, they are. For example, when various left-wing organizations boycott Chick-Fil-A, it's not because of the nuggets, it's because CFA ownership has expressed religious and political views with which the left disagrees. For someone who owns a restaurant, the most natural way for them to do something in support of a case, be it Ducks Unlimited or Planned Parenthood, is to use their business for a fundraiser. You seem to suggest that is OK for Nina Compton can support a political cause anywhere but one of her restaurants and you would be fine with it? It is your right to have draw this distinction but I reject it.

Instead of cherry picking my opening statement, you would be well served to read and not ignore the rest of my post and explanation. I am specifically pointing out the difference between a person having his/her own political views and that person politicizing his/her business.

Nina Compton is out actively promoting her support of abortion by supplying food prepared by Compere Lapin (had to look up who she was). THAT is called politicizing her business. The moment she becomes an activist with her company is the moment the company takes a stand and deserves its resulting consequences.

Chick Fil A, on the other hand, has not been politicizing its business. At least not in this manner. From its inception it has always been open about being a solidly pro-christian company. If people are anti-christian and do not want to support that business, then it is absolutely their right and even their duty to do so.

You are trying to draw the comparison though of Compton and her business actively supporting a fund raiser to kill babies to the owner of CFA being asked by an interviewer his beliefs on the definition of marriage. Furthermore, it was shown after that interview question that CFA is very pro gay in its hiring practices. This is foolish, and you know so. Unfortunately it doesn't support your fragile position, so you ignore this important distinction and pretend as if the actual point was never made

that's a lot of words to force into someone else's mouth. you should try focusing on what he said rather than what you WANT him to say

Yup, but it's too late. They already chose to politicize their business and associate with baby murdering. Now we are learning they are cowards as well.

I at least appreciate Company Burger standing by their decision in a polite manner when I called them. I respect that.

the best part is MOST of these Chefs/Owners are from out of state. And they dont give a shite about you or your beliefs...they believe that woke citizens and tourists will keep them afloat. They better pray they have a tourist trap location because actions have consequences.

Someone asked me today why in the world could Saba charge $52.00 for a filet of snapper with no sides?

"because they can, and people pay it. Because someone told them it was really good."

Turkey and Wolf has delicious sandwiches and they sell them at $13 a pop...why? because they CAN...right now...

Meet Tom.

Tom just moved to New Orleans from Kansas City.
Tom is really good at gourmet barbecue.
Tom has a family to raise (2 kids, wife and dog)
Tom was asked to donate to the bake sale benefiting "Woman's Rights"
Tom googled the cause.
Tom respectfully declined the invitation.
Tom stays open and increases sales due to a drop in competition and Tom's can pay his kid's daycare and tuition.

Meet Mason

Mason just moved here by himself from Kansas City
Mason is a master at making home cooking favorites with a twist
Mason makes food with relatively inexpensive material and turns a great profit
Mason doesn't have a family to feed so he spends his money on casinos, hookers and blow
Mason has an empty void in his life and chooses to fill it with a "cause"
Mason will lose 20% of his income because he took a side.
Mason doesn't care because he still makes a lot of money, but now he looks like an a-hole who can't keep to himself.

The overpricing of hip restaurants is indeed a problem, and it will continue to be supported by hip people wanting to stay cool.

With that said, Saba is legit great food. It's not cheap, but you can eat good there without buying that overpriced snapper. Their hummus with lamb is legit, filling and not a bad price for what you get. Too bad I'll never eat it again. I'll find good humus elsewhere instead.

I'm unenthusiastically pro-choice up to a point. But this push by the Left to actively celebrate abortion is fricking abysmal and disgusting.

I can't understand how you celebrate something of this nature.

What I see is someone who is straining, perhaps too much, to distinguish between a “politicized” business that shares your views and one that does not. Of course, it is your right to do so and to dine, or otherwise transact, where you please. I choose otherwise. I have no problem not being a supporter of Planned Parenthood while still enjoying a mean at Compere Lapin.
