I was working 100 hour weeks living in a trailer driving a pos Buick while my wife had a brand new Mercedes and sat on her arse all day watching soap operas spending every nickel I had (and telling me I needed to make MORE money) when I started my business career. I don’t want to hear shite about some cushy no account government job you have. If you had a big dick and two balls you would be in the private sector with the rest of us. Instead you are a drain on taxpayers and are on corporate welfare since you ‘work’ for the government. Maggot.

Some of those lazy government workers (~41,000 Active Duty Coast Guard) chose to serve the country under the Department of Homeland Security and are continuing to work full time while paychecks are being withheld because of politics bickering over HOMELAND SECURITY. Ironic... CBP, TSA, ICE etc. all working essential missions for this country, for your safety and security. Imagine if ports regulated by the Coast Guard shutdown, or air travel by TSA. What if CBP could say “frick it”. A lot of commercial and economic activities being regulated by those currently working without pay.
Pretty crazy how ignorant some people can be, not even realizing the extent of this government shutdown. It goes far beyond the suits in DC, in fact most of those clowns are still collecting a check.

I know what they make in many instances and when it's totaled with retirement benefits it's often better than private sector. The study you poo-pooed demonstrated that total compensation for most federal workers is better than their private counterparts, except for those with doctorates. If you have a doctorate then you are not compensated as well, but you knew that going in.
