I live in Atlanta and weeks before the World Cup started there was massive wall to wall coverage on the local news skyscreaming how none of the hotels were selling rooms and how the numbers were 40%-50% lower than expected. I believed the fake news and I admitted it like a fricking man

I upvoted because I love this country moron.

The social media is doing a lot of great work for our image. Unfortunately hotel bookings were lower than expected because of our image before the world cup. The great thing is regardless of that the tourism industry in America should hopefully pick up in a meaningful way now that people have seen how great our nation is. It is we the people that have made people realize how great the promise of America is. And it can't be understated. We have a very kind and welcoming group of citizens. We make America great. Not politicians. And that's the way it always should be. We just hope they don't frick it up. This thing should be on cruise control.
