Oh i get it.
Its the same lazy assumptions Op is making, based on nothing but the fact I don't care for the president.

If i thought you mattered i guess id be insulted, but i dont really care.

They can't avoid the reality that liberals were cheering the possibility of trump having an embassy failure

And they can't avoid that their reaction to this particular drone strike is completely different than they've ever reacted before with only one possible explanation for it no matter how much they try to bootstrap other ones

IMO, Americans have accepted drone strikes as something lesser than traditional acts of war when the target is a relatively nationless, ideological threat like Islamic terrorism.

Honestly I suspect that if Reagan had had drones he would have used them against Libya

Drones just allow us to do what we would have done with fighter jets without having to put pilots in harm's way

Liberals don't care when at all when Obama droned a US citizen, or the monthly dronings of what turned out to be wedding parties. The only people consistent on this issue have been Greenwald, Scahill and the ilk.

I wish we could have a conversation about limiting presidential authority to do things like this, but that would be tremendously unpopular with Dems and Repubs.

Operations like this don't work when you have a couple weeks of congressional debate.

Especially when one side will be warning the objectives.

While I understand your sentiment, I really don't even know how that would work.

Forget this situation for a second.

If a President becomes aware of a planned action, or, if someone who has been acting against us becomes available as a target, what process could exist to actually act on it in a timely manner other than Presidential authority?

Reflecting the strike's potential for escalation, a US defense official said the administration would deploy a further 3,000 troops to the Middle East, including 750 who have already deployed to protect the US embassy in Baghdad.

The total void of intelligence and logic in the above post creates a vacuum in space that absorbs all matter and light......

You’re ignoring the fact that the target of the drown strike was a high ranking national official. Terrorist or not . That is clearly not the same as a rogue band of unknown rebels in a war zone. That’s how World War One was started. The attack will mostly cause more prolonged involvement in the Middle East which means more money. That means more national debt in United States. So much for trump decreasing the national debt by running the government like a business. Like the Chinese Jack Ma once said, “ america has spent, 13 trillon in wars in the last 30 years, what if they have invest that money in their own people? ” LINK
