The more deranged shooters do this type of crap, the more the young gun control activists may get more power.

Not saying today applies to my theory and I’m not saying it would end all shootings, but parenting reform would cut gun violence in half within 10 years

After the parkland shooting if any citizen can’t see how bad it’s government (fbi and Broward county sheriff) fricked up then there is no point in trying to persuade that person.

The young people in my family know how to handle firearms responsibly.
They aren’t evil, misguided teens who would ever shoot-up a school.
They attend church, and they value human life.
They’re being raised to take care of their neighbors, and to defend their family, if needed.
I have no doubt that they will “win.”

The answer is simple.
Its not bout taking God out of schools. Its taking God out of the home and culture. A faith that teaches that everyone is made in the image of God goes a long way toward curbing hatred so bad that someone would shoot their classmates.
I'm with the left on the "thoughts and prayers won't do anything" train. But I think we need to go to a different station. Many of my FB friends that are all about the prayers for this and the local tragedy we have had in the Jackson area haven't seen the inside of a church except for holidays, weddings or funerals in years if not decades.
Even worse, some of the ones that are going to church are going to nothing more than a weekly motivational speech.
Our churches have failed. The same morons yelling "Put God back in schools" will yell "It starts at home" when they are talking about everything else at the school - test scores, discipline, etc.
If every pastor in America did what they were called to do on Sunday morning instead of what they are doing, we'd have a revolution in this country unlike anything you've ever seen.

But lack of nutritious food is probably a main correlator to needing psychic meds.
As another person mentioned, why do we have schools with the technology available? Would these shootings happen if kids weren't forced into these places?

If the only person spreading the word at Church is the pastor, then that’s a problem.
The fact is that even in small town America the sense of “community” is foreign to so many. I love my town, but it’s just a place to sleep and shop in between commutes for most.

It's pretty much as simple as that.
Mama's and daddies have neglected to do their homework, out of necessity in many cases, the pursuit of the finer things in life more often than not.
