Guns, or ordinance, have quite literally solved many of the world’s problems

How stupid are you people?

Then why does the Venezuelan government have guns?

Your financial accounts are virtual. There is nothing to 'get' out of a building. The stupidity on here is alarming.

I agree, guns are poor tools for solving most problems. Resisting an authoritian regime, on the other hand, can be aided by them.

I'm not entirely sure what you are trying to get across. Are you suggesting that the Venezuelan situation would be no different with an armed populace?

If the people were armed, this never would have happened.

They passed their gun ban in 2012, right at the front end of the oil decline. They knew their house of cards was going to fall if they didn't disarm everyone.

How well did those guns protect the assets that were seized?

They sure did solve Hitler, Mussolini, Tojo, Bin Laden, Hussein, Escobar, for starters.

You are arguing seizing accounts vs overthrowing a regime. A gun is 1000% better than a computer at the latter

But the post I responded to was a comment about someone thinking technology was superior to guns.

Then someone replied that they would bring a 22 while the other person brought their laptop.

Then some idiot! maybe you commented the 22 would only injure and not kill.

Hence my post!

Furthermore, John Hinkley came within a 1/4 inch of killing Reagan with a 22.

Made Brady practically a veg

Explain to me how an armed populace would stop assets being seized by electronic banking.

I like the idea of a Venezuelan vigilante going around and popping politburo members.

Are you suggesting the people of Venezuela don’t know who their government is?

Dead men cant type commands into a computer to make the transfer.

Did someone insinuate that that was the purpose of the citizens needing guns, or did you make a stupid point that you are now prepared to go to the mat defending?

No one is making that argument, Jake. The original contention is that an armed populace would have been able to resist or fight back against an administration whose assets have been seized due to our foreign policy, and that this action would not have been necessary.

No one is saying that a bunch of gun toting Venezuelans would be able to take back digitally stored assets and currency.

Finding them should be easy right? I mean if what you are saying is true these assets that were just taken will easily be returned because muh guns right?

Think of what you are saying here. Maduro has access to plenty of guns so he will be able to get this money/assets/wealth back very soon. Right?

Yeah, an armed people couldn't resist a large standing military like the US or USSR
