It is possible to have to deal with several major problems at once. The boarder is easy to fix if they would just do it. Wouldn’t even be much of a problem. The longer we wait and put off standing up to Russia the closer to war we get. If we fail to stop Russia and back them down the China moves in the Pacific and North Korea could attack the South. Iran could attack Israel because we won’t be able to help. Europe, the Pacific and Asia, and the Middle East would all be involved in war. We can’t ignore this problem like we are the boarder. Millions of lives could be in the balance.

The Government May have allowed an attack on purpose to drag us into the war. That may be true. It may not. But it’s beside the point I’m making. We were going to have to fight sooner or later anyway. We always have to fight sooner or later. That’s one of my points. I wish we could miss them all but major countries anywhere usually get pulled in sooner or later. Besides had we not got into WW2 when we did sooner or later the British would have fell and we would have had to fight on our on because we was on Hitlers menu also. If we just have to fight let’s stop ignoring these things and do it sooner than later because it costs more blood in the end.

Why? Is there something in our constitution which requires us to participate? Are we better off because of the wars in Afghanistan? Vietnam? Korea? Please do tell me more about our requirements.

Exactly! Putin was not shutting down churches and requiring people to get useless vaccinations against their will. He is also not taking 1/2 of what I make and squandering it on useless foreign conflicts.

We the civil war is pretty self explanatory. WW1 we pretty much sit out a lot of it because nobody wanted to fight but once 128 Americans dies after Germany sunk the Lusitania that start to turn opinion. Once we found out that Germany was going to form an alliance with Mexico we couldn’t get into the war fast enough. WW2 the Japs attacked us that’s pretty obvious. After WW2 the Red scare took over the country. Why was that because of Russian aggression. Bin Laden said he was at war with us for year. The government laughed and the public never heard of him before. But after his org flew several commercial jets into buildings we cared then. Russia has launched cyber attack after attack on us. They armed the NvA and VC. They had pilots flying combat missions in Korea. That’s a quick history lesson.

No shite Sherlock. We needed to be involved in WW2. The rest of the conflicts you listed could have been handled in other ways.
Maybe you should put down the history book and focus on grammar for a bit.

Here is a bit of history for you.
“ 4,000,000 soldiers were mobilized and 116,708 American military personnel died during World War 1 from all causes (influenza, combat and wounds). Over 204,000 were wounded and 757 U.S. civilians died due to military action.”
Seems like a fair trade for the 128 who died on the Lusitania. The Lusitania was carrying about 173 tons of war munitions for Britain. (It was a British owned ship)

So in order to prevent a hypothetical WWIII which exists only in your imagination, we should just start WWIII on our own. Brilliant.
Also, the USSR and the current Russian state are not the same thing. Suggesting that any Russian attempts at advancing their power/interests necessarily constitutes a restoration of the Communist Soviet state and it’s worldview is utter nonsense.
Also, as much of a threat as the USSR posed during the Cold War, and with their occupation of all Eastern Europe and into East Germany making their geopolitical power far beyond anything Russia could possibly dream today, we still managed to avoid going to war with one another and we defeated them through other means. So the notion that war is the answer here is so beyond fricking stupid that you really need to consider how you’ve become convinced of the garbage and counterproductive ideas you have just vomited into your post.

You can put your grammar book you know where smartass. Ok I want someone to show me the monuments we have built to the diplomats that prevented a war due to negotiating peace. Where is the monuments to those people. I see plenty monuments to the guys that had to go fight because those diplomats failed though. And it wasn’t even those guys fault. You can’t negotiate with dictators or a bunch of commies that isn’t about to give up power. So for once and I mean just once can we get smart and maybe start fighting when we are on the other Guys doorstep instead of waiting till they take several countries before we say no and start fighting. The handwriting is on the wall. We are going to have to fight Russia and China at some point anyway. They have been telling us for years if we would just listen. So can we maybe fight one war on our terms for once start early cut down on death and destruction. I think over 20 something million people died in WW2. Stop this guy now and make sure Russia takes most of those losses instead of us and the rest of Europe. Why do we always have to fight a D-Day or Iwo Jima? Why can’t we make the other guy do that for a change. This is about something way bigger than Russia and Ukraine. It’s about telling Russia and these other sons of bitches like China we are fed up with their shite and we are done taking it. China launched a biological weapon on the world on purpose for god sake that has killed millions around the world and nobody is pissed about it. Where are the consequences for that. We have been dealing with these people long enough. It’s time to bloody one of these guys nose for them and make them all have to add that in their calculations. Stop whining about war like a pussy and let’s just go do it. We get involved in these things anyway. Let’s just go do it we are Americans. We always have to bail out Europe anyway. Are we supposed to sit with our head in the sand while the whole of Europe falls? They will stop after they take England right. You know better. You have to stop him sooner or later let’s do it sooner and cut down on our losses for a damn change.

The Muslims already conquered England, I'm supposed to get mad about Russians?
Posted on 2/24/22 at 5:39 am to RollingwiththeTide
Sure why don’t all of you democrats head to Ukraine and help them . This is not our fight . We have much bigger issues here at home .
Posted on 2/24/22 at 5:40 am to RollingwiththeTide
Why not you board a plane to Ukraine and fight the Russians there then tough guy
Posted on 2/24/22 at 5:41 am to RollingwiththeTide

We won both wars we waited to fight in.
We’ve lost most wars since then when we tried to proactively start fighting. We’ve won the ones we strategically prepared for and waited until it was necessary.
There’s your answer.

I agree this is not our war.
The only US people losing are our politicians as they will have to find a new place to launder our tax dollars.
You would have thought having Hunter Biden on an energy board in Ukraine that our fuel prices would have been lower the day Biden was sworn in. Lol!
Ukraine, took the side of the swamp, believed the swamp would protect them, and they now get what they deserve.
