The US has spent trillions of dollars in Iraq and Afghanistan….what did we get?

Trillions of dollars y’all and literally nothing gained for the benefit of the American people. No increased security, no increased wealth, no increase in respectability with the global society.
We have squandered our financial security, our national security and our moral authority in the eyes of our allies and still not one person is held accountable for these disastrous policies and irresponsible decisions.

Most, if not all, of us involved at any point knew that this would be the outcome.

I agree with everything you said….except
Fighting the war over there, keeping them in hiding and on the run over there…has prevented an undefined catastrophic event. I slept better at night, knowing that we controlled a country with those terrorists in it.
Now…..they will harbor terrorists and be a breeding ground for training to attack Americans.

Saudi Arabian citizens have committed more attacks on US soil than the Taliban. Israel has attacked more of our embassies outside their territory than the Taliban. The UK and Australia have committed more espionage against our citizens than the Taliban. Democrats and RINOs have taken more of our wealth and freedoms than the Taliban. China has bought off more of our politicians than the Taliban.
