I wouldn’t say SOR is a non issue, but it’s not a meaningful issue.
Last week EIA showed crude oil reserves increased and are well within five year averages.
I shorted WTI last night. And have been mostly short the entire Iran situation.
Analysts consistently predicted almost record oil surplus YE 2027 during the entire Iran situation, and still do.
People being misinformed has made my short oil trades easier and more profitable. Some quick Google searches can and will validate everything I’ve posted.

Not to defend anyone, but all "experts" have been calling peak oil is coming soon only to keep rolling it back year after year. I myself am starting to give credence to what eastern Europeans claim is the source of oil. Not there yet, but we have seen played out formations in the GOA (Gulf of America) produce again.
