The unmentioned problem of the Congress sex payoff fund

The REAL problem is that while WE don't know the who and what, SOMEONE does.
With at least 235 payouts in the last 20 years, that's a LOT of easily manipulated votes.
I'm sure there's some repeat offenders in there but the bottom line is, having such information secret to the public but known on the inside such that it becomes blackmail material is a very bad thing.

Which is why go apoplectic when any outsider threatens the club, how did this go under the radar so long? How were funds appropriated?

Didn't Larry Flynt several years ago offer big money for dirt on Republicans? Stands to reason this "fund" is more for Democrats.

Has any media filed a FOIA request?

Supposedly this is exempt from FOIA.

yeh, our representative "leaders" in Washington are hot on the heals of Roy Moore but their hands are filled with the dirt of those who have assaulted these young interns over the years. the ole boys club is a well oiled machine when it comes to protecting their own; and using taxpayer dollars to fund the coverup.
i hope this all comes crashing down on these bastards in Washington.

Where are the leakers and hackers when you really need them? Come on Russia, help us out here.
Also, I think the fund also covers other violations like being fired unfairly type lawsuits, etc. I would also bet that at least 75% of the violations are committed by congressional staff and employees.

Not just the media but everyone in "the know", like past POTUSs.

It would seem like this would be something that any news organization (or anyone else who is willing to go to court over the matter) could obtain with an FOIA request.
I can't even begin to imagine the "privilege" that Congress would try to invoke to keep these records hidden.
"Uhhhhh, your honor, we believe that the Constitution clearly protects our sexual deviant Congressmen from being exposed."

It’s really pretty incredulous that the “Swamp” was so careless with this documented information. I’m sure there’s an “all hands on deck” meeting trying to determine the best way to handle/hide this BS.

I hate to sound like the proverbial broken record but if Trump does not push for congressional term limits he’s part of the Swamp. Even if it doesn’t happen we can get all the Swamp Dwellers on record as for or against term limits and try to vote them out.

Every one of these payouts with taxpayer money needs to be made public. It is total self-serving bullshite that Congress allows it self to sweep bad behavior under the rug. If they pay a dime, we, the taxpayer, should know about it. This is not a left, right, or middle issue. It is about transparency in the Federal Government.

What pisses me off is they do whatever they want with our tax dollars. We facilitate their spending. There needs to be a class action lawsuit about this specifically and the use of our tax dollars. Burn it to the ground

Are there tax consequences to the Congressman on whose behalf the state has made settlement payments? Is this income to him (or her, to be gender neutral)?
