I'm curious if this is a uniquely cultural thing among the African-American community or if this same culture persists within the African continent and the tribes from which their heritage existed before they came to this continent. In short, the theory is that American Blacks have historically had a subculture in which such births were less of an aberration and less likely to make a woman a pariah.
The data goes back to about 1900, as I recall. Moynihan called it “Black Matriarchy.”
Before some idiot starts a Tourettes spasm about the Great Society, I agree wholeheartedly that it “greatly” exacerbated the pre-existing trend.

The Great Society exacerbated the problem. No one with a brain says otherwise. But it did not cause a trend that predates its enactment by 3/4 of a century or more.
I will never understand why objective data bothers you people so much, OR why it is never enough for someone to largely agree with you ... unless that person drinks your Kool-Aid and agrees with you 100%. Just strange.

Objective data? Where?
All you posted was a chart showing out of wedlock births for blacks increasing after the 1960s. Kinda sounds like after the Civil Rights "reform" was put into place.
