Narax, it’s personal experience and faith. You’re right the scientists haven’t found what makes a gay a gay but it exists. Throughout my life the kids that I thought were gay at 8, 10, 12 years old before they even knew anything about sexuality turned out to be gay later in life. That includes children of very conservative churchgoing Christian families where every kid turned out straight except one. That one kid would have loved nothing more than to make their parents proud by being normal.
Many people think Paul’s “thorn in the flesh” was that he was attracted to men sexually. He talks about the sin he kept committing in Romans 7:19. Perhaps that’s why he never got married. Think about why he never got married as an adult even while he persecuted Christians. Jesus even sent him an evil spirit to haunt him or make him sick (or gay) and he talks about it in 2 Corinthians. I wonder if he would have preached that all Christians should be celibate preferably if he wasn’t himself gay and wanted to hide it and wanted others to share in his suffering.
People have been gay for thousands of years. There’s got to be a natural component. However there’s a nurture component as well and that’s the component that has ramped up in our society. Why they hell to they want people to be gay or trans or whatever I don’t know. Either way it is a mental illness.

The genesis of all of this abhorrent behavior can be traced back to the advent of the smartphone. It exposed everything to everybody. Think back. All of this started just about the same time the smart phone made its debut. Before that, People’s information came mostly from people in their own circle of friends. Now there are no natural boundaries to protect people from being exposed to this unnatural behavior.

I respectfully disagree.
Although kids sexuality can be distorted by abuse, sexual impulses start pretty early (ie for me about the 4th grade) and you have zero control over who you are attracted to. I think that’s mostly a genetic anomaly.
Trans stuff is different and a mental health issue IMO.
