With RBG supposedly on her interminable death bed, the SC should again be one of the main reasons the GOP needs to again prevail.
I honestly believe RBG is the reason that democrats have acted the way they have over the last 3 years. I feel like the russia hoax was all about making an excuse for Hillary losing after beginning the day with the media giving her a 99% chance of winning. After Mueller flopped the dems seemed to panic, realizing that if RBG croaks, the courts would be firmly right-of-center for a minimum of 30-40 years.
Honestly, this kind of scares me because I just don't know how far the democrats will go to prevent Trump from naming RBG's replacement. By that I mean will they try to JFK Trump in October if they don't feel like they have a good chance of winning?

The Supreme Court is again a huge issue.
The Supreme Court is a HUGE issue in EVERY presidential election, considering the close balance of power, and the thought that most presidential terms involve at least one opening.
But an even BIGGER issue is the lower-level federal courts, which is why it's so important to conservatives to get elected.

This
The Republicans are on the cusp of having an overwhelming majority on the SCOTUS. 6 seats at a minimum 7 if Breyer goes. Democrats are betting Thomas only has 5 or 6 years left so they see a flip and they want to effect this.

Possibly 8 given Sotomayor’s questionable health.

Donald Trump as POTUS is going to be over soon and very soon.
Since 1900, 19 incumbents have been up for reelection. 5 have lost with 1 being Gerald Ford who wasn't elected in the first place. Clinton defeating Bush was the only loss with a good economy.
Don't think this is going to play out like you hope.
