This is important. I'm grateful they're focused on things we all care about.

The Senate Judiciary Committee held its much-anticipated hearing into Live Nation and the lack of competition in the ticketing industry on Tuesday.

While lawmakers grilled entertainment executives and antitrust experts, some of Ticketmaster's most vocal critics protested just steps away on the grounds of the U.S. Capitol: Taylor Swift fans.

"As I was driving up this morning I couldn't help but notice I had never seen more smiling and happy demonstrators than I saw today," Sen. Mike Lee (R-Utah) said during the hearing. "I think Swifties have figured something out, they're very good at getting their message across."

I guarantee people care more about Ticketmaster than classified documents.

Obviously the most important issue facing America today is Ticketmaster crashing because a bunch of Taylor Swift fans bought tickets we truly have the most smartest people running our government. Now in all seriousness I hope they all drink bleach.

Meanwhile a special needs girl in VA was raped and strangled by a 17 year old MS13 gang member the feds flew in and dropped off.

Yea this isn’t a huge issue, but big ticket sellers have been getting away with this bullshite for too long. It’s a personal annoyance if mine. They use bots to buy up an entire event within minutes, then sell the tickets back to the public at an enormous increase. You don’t have much of a chance to buy tickets to well-known events at face value.

Now they need to do something that actually matters.

This is true, wish everyone cared more about the national debt than any of the above.

CNN: Hopefully we can run with this for the next few weeks and people will forget about Biden's document fiasco.

I've read this story but have not seen a report about the feds flying this a-hole into VA. Do you have a link that mentions this?

A lot of bands are in on the scam and get a cut of the resale

We are all better off when they do nothing.

Yep. I wish you had to go physically go buy tickets (some bands do this). This is what Nine Inch Nails does.

Van Halen got caught doing this. It was netting them like $100K-$150K extra per show. I dunno maybe that is the market value?

Possibly. Ticketmaster will essentially turn a $50 ticket into a $120 ticket, so I wouldn’t be surprised.

I care about monopolies. It's a huge reason why alot of our industries blow.
