Genesis 7:11-12 11 "In the six hundredth year of Noah’s life, on the seventeenth day of the second month—on that day all the springs of the great deep burst forth, and the floodgates of the heavens were opened. 12 And rain fell on the earth forty days and forty nights."
...just to be clear, to anyone who forgot to read past the children's teaching of the Noah flood that water did NOT just come from the rain, but also from the Abyss (the Tehome), the deep.

Yet you live every day of your life under the moral guidance we gave you.
I live by the guidance of my biological programming and social behavioral engineering, just like every other human that has ever existed. Religion took what was already there and just laid claim to it, then added in a bunch of other stuff and used the fundamental moral credentialing to try and give credence to all that other stuff.
Basic moral tenants of judeochristian teaching can be found in religions thousands of years older. Many of the moral parables of the Bible are present in various forms in writings thousands of years older than ANY form of monotheism ever existed. To believe Jewish or Christian teaching somehow is the foundational moral building block is to not only be wrong, but to believe in such a small and boring historical existence.

Come on guys, it’s pretty basic. The Bible makes absolutely zero modern scientific claims.

I don’t know anybody who behaves or even talks that way in normal conversation.
Well yeah, that’s the point. Its philosophically interesting but practically irrelevant in many cases.
If I violate certain basic moral precepts like “do not murder”, it doesn’t really matter why that precept exists functionally at this moment in time. The same thing is going to happen to me regardless.

The discussion is only relevant once you start getting into behaviors and actions that don’t have a dramatic day to day impact on society apart from the existence of the action itself and subsequent debate, such as smoking weed or having gay sex. The sorts of behaviors that ar even really only seen as immoral from a theological perspective of some sort but have no functional societal basis for being immoral or illegal.
Demonstrably false, and you’re smart enough to realize that “impact” will involve a moral judgement in and of itself.

STOP IT.
We did NOT "evolve."
And by the way, Banana DNA matches 60% same as Humans; Slugs are 70%.
WHAT OF IT?? How "close"do we have to be to be considered their "relatives"?

It doesn't have to "prove" anything; the facts are the facts.

Every atheist would do well to interact with C.S. Lewis’s Miracles.
I’ve read most of his major works. Brilliant guy, incredible writer, but he spent his life by his own admission trying to convince himself of something he found difficult to believe but wanted to.
The full depth of writing of Aquinas and many other great religious minds is similar. Brilliant men tend to have the most religious doubt because even before modern scientific understanding much of it is difficult for a critical mind to accept.
Kurt Wise, who has PHD from Harvard in paleontology and is a creationist, has probably the most honest take I’ve ever read. He basically said the world as it exists is fundamentally incompatible with the Bible, if what we see, experience and study is true the Bible cannot be, but because he cherished his beliefs so deeply he rejected reality as he perceived and chose to live as if the bIble were true.
Now I think that’s a terrible way to live but I respect the brutal unflinching honesty of a man with complete knowledge (as complete as we have anyway), acknowledges it and then makes that decision.

1) The “older” beliefs, which have gone unnamed, can certainly coincide with the truths of the Bible if the Biblical God is who he says he is. That is, truth itself. Or, in Christ, the way, the truth and the life.
2) Christianity makes the grandest of all religious claims, which makes it the contender against a theory of nothingness or meaninglessness.
Following a man who exemplified the greatest conceivable form of self sacrifice is anything but boring.

...in the last days scoffers will come, scoffing and following their own evil desires. They will say, “Where is this ‘coming’ he promised? Ever since our ancestors died, everything goes on as it has since the beginning of creation.” But they deliberately forget that long ago by God’s word the heavens came into being and the earth was formed out of water and by water. By these waters also the world of that time was deluged and destroyed.

See the problem with the Old Testament is that it was written before humans knew much of anything about the world or the physical realities of existence, and so it was written without any thought that someone someday might be able to actually do the math and figure out that none of this made sense. If that had occurred to them they wouldn’t have given such specific details. Because they did, many of the historical and scientific claims can be fact checked.
AND...your source of "history" and the description of Creation" is ...WHAT AGAIN?? Source and authority, please?
Moses is the source of Genesis; the accounts of it are Divinely inspired as God was the ONLY one present at Creation.
Science has absolutely NOTHING to say or "prove" zip, zero, nada regarding Creation. "Evolution" is impossible andcan nt be proven an iota. All "Science's theories are woven out of thin air (same of Cosmology), or in desperation it references Pagan-Gnostic-Babylonian hearsay and sources.

Jordan Peterson does a good job at showing how everything we experience is keenly Biblical.

The problem with creationism seminars is they all use the exact same pseudoscience and talking points and so refuting them has become rather simple and mundane
And just to make my point, I’m going to post a refutation of this and other points from NINETEEN EIGHTY. I’m not even going to need the last 40+ years of scientific discovery because creationist talking points have largely been static since the 1970s.

Of course not; The Pagans-Gnostics- Luciferian-Masonic-Illuminati cabals took control as on the 1850s.

I hear ya...but here's an explanation I'd posted upthread that further explains "The Queen of The Sciences" in learned circles...
There were considered two ways God has chosen to reveal Himself to humanity: General Revelation and Special Revelation and the like.
General Truths are known about God through nature AND Specific Truths known about God, through the supernatural.
This world is designed by God; our heart is designed to recognize it (IF it's not hardened):
Psalm 19:1-4 declares, “The heavens declare the glory of God; the skies proclaim the work of His hands. Day after day they pour forth speech; night after night they display knowledge. There is no speech or language where their voice is not heard. Their voice goes out into all the earth, their words to the ends of the world.”
According to this passage, God’s existence and power can be clearly seen through observing the universe. The order, intricacy, and wonder of creation speak to the existence of a powerful and glorious Creator.

When you speak to God face to face. If He ask you:
“Where were you when I laid the earth’s foundation?
Tell me, if you understand.
Who marked off its dimensions? Surely you know!
Who stretched a measuring line across it?
On what were its footings set?"
What will you say then?
