My views haven't changed, so IDK what specifically you mean, but as I stated at the start - clarify your point and maybe you'd get a better response.

Or not.

I post because I want to find people who agree with me.

I have a mental illness that makes me think people will change their minds if I present the correct arguments with the appropriate facts and data.

I have found that isn't true

a "mandate" refers to a perceived authorization or strong public support given to a elected official or party, allowing them to implement specific policies based on the clear will of the voters as expressed through an election; essentially, it signifies a clear directive from the people to their representative to act on a particular issue.

Learn from that what you will.

You could probably start with not insulting people from get-go. Christians are not religious nutcases standing in the way of your dreams.

Nobody thinks you are asking in good faith, hence the downvotes

The mere hint of a superior-minded ‘attitude’ when challenging others will be met with indignation on this board. The hair trigger, locker room version is a lot of what makes debate interesting, otherwise it would be a boring, pompous and academic experience. Re the OP’s supposed “division”, my opinion is that a lot of Christians are influenced by the mercy towards the poor (honest ones who struggle to save their families) and if you think there is division now just wait until the deportation process begins. I think that it was a virtual universal agreement against the outrageous and insane Woke/Trans stuff that turned this election. Disagreement is a good thing as the Good Book recommends that we “prove all things “. This Board enthusiastically does just that. Albeit the truly deep stuff will not be reconciled until the Lord (vision of Truth) arrives and unites humanity in a way that we cannot. Lord come quickly.

I know there will be a lot of outspoken Christians about this but I wont be one. I dont think there is anything just about how illegal immigration is being handled. I see it as theft from your neighbor to feed ones own "virtue"

And wise Christians will respect your choice. Albeit many will hearken to their Master’s words re the poor. I think the whole thing is unfixable, as is. Not a fatalistic assessment but just realistic, and biased re the prophetic eschatological narrative.

I think the primary schism has been and remains America First/MAGA and the Bush-era “Establishment” Republicans/Neocons that had unchallenged grip on the party from around 1989 through 2016.

The voters have spoken 3 times now and clearly support the America First movement.

The Bush-era Pubs have remained in a state of denial over this and the only thing “conservative” about that bunch in my opinion is their overarching desire to conserve the old business as usual approach in DC and their own grip on the party (they seem traditionally to be fine with serving as the minority “loyal opposition” to the Dems when it comes to the direction of the country).

Feeling is the essence of life and all that raises humanity above the animal world. I would bet that your rational assessments re survival and prosperity are based on you feeling, value and reverence for your own beloved and others of a common vision of Love. Love is a Feeling, as I suspect that God - as supposedly stated by Him - is. To each their own but it will be “wailing and gnash of teeth” minus the feeling of Love.

More republicans are some degree of all of these than distinctly one versus any others, it would seem.

Your perspective is whacked.

I think people argue about particulars but generally agree with the America First ideas.
Besides, folks in here will argue about ANYTHING!

The right is filled with people intelligent enough to form their own flavor of ideas. Merging and modifying.

The left has about 5 people who are capable of that, everyone else just repeats what they’re told.

Republicans can disagree with each other. The leftists don’t tolerate disagreements.

This is a big problem for conservatives.
“The fundamental problem of politics is the distinction between friend and foe,” said Carl Schmitt.
The left exhibits an acute and meticulous friend-enemy distinction.
The right on the other hand has a TERRIBLE friend-enemy sense.
The left expunges and unifies while
The right sits an argues over trivial non-issues.
