The premise of your OP was practically the rise of both parties type of PC. If religious institutions have always tended to silence those they don’t agree with them I can certainly exempt them, as it’s happened for them before politics became what they are.
Not to mention ideologically centered organizations of course have narrower speech requirements.
I don't expect the Democratic national committee to let Donald Trump speak at their next meeting either. That isn't an example of political correctness
But the OP knows this. He just needs to pull up something to justify his b*******

Conservatives arent the ones going apeshit on college campuses demanding safe spaces and silencing liberal speakers from exercising their 1A rights.
What an incredibly stupid comparison.

The only desperation I see in here is that ridiculous OP of yours. The left wing is much more intolerant of free speech and it's not even debatable

Hey guys, I know Germany was responsible for the holocaust and murderung 6 million Jews, but I read about some American soldiers commiting war crimes too during D-day, so both sides are equally guilty.

Agree there are various hot button issues and third rails, certainly.

Anyone who believes this after observing 20+ years of the leftist PC takeover of political discourse in this country is legitimately crazy.

That checks out.

I can't even believe this is a conversation. "Patriotic Correctness"....are you kidding me? This in and of itself is how far the American Left is willing to go to silence people with different beliefs, by creating another new word called "Patriotic Correctness". Think about all the new micro aggressions liberals have come up with in the last few years. White Nationalism, White Privilege, Toxic Masculinity...and now "Patriotic Correctness"....my lord!! Who is silencing who???????

Did anyone doubt this? Look at how badly the over-50 old white man crowd freaked out about a guy taking a knee during the national anthem

Ah the old if you don’t think like me then you can leave line.
Sure
I didn't like the public school system where I grew up, so I moved to a place that has a better school system for my kids.
It costs more to be here, there's too many people for liking, and there's a chance I will leave when they are finished with school. I won't run around telling everyone how great it was where I came from while voluntarily living somewhere else.
Same thing for your job. If you don't like your job, you can leave. Maybe not in an instant. But one can devise a plan and follow it through.

You are going to be called a liar. All kinds of examples claiming bs on your op and anyone that agrees with you.
I'm quite sure I am going to have my daily laugh as the usual suspects come yapping out of their trailer or their moms basement to try discrediting your op.

"Waving a Mexican flag on U.S. soil means you hate America..."
Well, that's a bullshite statement right there. Nobody complains about anyone waving their nation's flag at a heritage parade, etc. It's another matter when Mexicans, for instance, protest in the streets against American immigration laws while waving the Mexican flag.
I'm reminded of a meme of a Mexican in America that's protesting while waving the Mexican flag. It says "Waves Mexican flag but doesn't want to live in Mexico".
Yep, this right here. I have been known to fly the Czech flag every now and again because that is my heritage.
But I don't cuss America while doing it.
There is an difference between being proud of your origins and bitching that America isn't the shithole you're from.

The author completely (and probably purposely) ignores context.
Waving a Mexican flag on Cinco de Mayo: acceptable.
Waving a Mexican flag on the 4th of July: unacceptable.
More than that though, in general it signals an unwillingness to assimilate into the more successful society you've migrated to.

I've been banned for posting a CNN article about the rise of white nationalism on the internet and saying something along the lines of "based on the pb seems about right". Once I was banned for asking a poster if the OP took place before or after he picked up his klan hood from the drycleaners.
Don't get me wrong.. i'm not complaining. I earned the majority of my bans

Look at all these examples Cato found of progressives getting fired from right wing companies for their politics:

Waving a Mexican flag on U.S. soil means you hate America, but waving a Confederate flag just means you’re proud of your heritage. The phrase “Happy Holidays” instead of “Merry Christmas” needs a trigger warning.
Well, when they're waving Mexican flags while holding signs saying frick America, I think their message is clear.
