Do the Dems not even realize what they are asking for with this $20 and $25 federal minimum wage? $25 an hour in Georgia buys you a lot more than it does in New York. It won't take long for people to figure it out. Who will be left living in the blue states when this happens? Where will businesses go when there are no people left to hire in blue states. They are literally asking for the end of their states to exist.

Prices are sky high in Georgia right now too. Just a sheet of osb is $38 locally and I live in a smaller town.

I don't know what minimum wage needs to be but nobody is doing ok on $7.25 an hour even in rural Georgia.

Edit: I'm tired after a 70 hr week and realize this isn't the point of your post.

Agree, they are sky high now, but nothing compared to what they are on the left cost or northeast.

Of course they realize it. How dumb are you people?
They want their voters to spread out across the country like a cancer. That way they can stop stealing elections.

It's true. I had someone try to tell me they couldn't find help at a restaurant. Hell, can't afford to eat the food you serve.

bullshite. Most people don’t ever figure this out.

They won’t figure anything out until our 24 hour propaganda outlets tell them what to think about it.

I can tell you that the federal minimum wage in Alabama is obviously $7.25 also, but nobody is working for that. There are now hiring signs all over Mobile. McDonalds is starting at $9 and Panda Express starts you at $11 for the front and $12 for the grill.

It was $3.35 until the 90's. $5.15 until 2009. $7.25 since 2009.

This is the correct answer. An increase in minimum wage creates a shifts in the Labor supply and Labor demand curves which ultimately reduces the number of jobs available.

Politicians need to tell their constituents that minimum wage is designed for entry into the work force. If you’re still working for minimum wage after being in the work force for a while it’s your own damn fault.

The minimum wage here in Oklahoma is the federal minimum of $7.25 and it's a non-factor (as it should be) because the market dictates a higher wage.

The federal government doesn't need to do a damn thing.

Any business paying an employee less than $8 in 2021 shouldn't be in business.

The only thing that should determine the wage any person earns is the skill set and production ability they bring to their job.

Government has no business entering a private contract between an employer and employee.

Sorry, it's true buddy. It's 2021. $7.50 per hour is not livable no matter where you are in the country.

Gas, rent, utilities... not going to happen. At that point if that's your earning potential you'd better hope you can walk to your job. Good luck paying for a car and insurance.
