Were FDR's facts wrong about the Japanese attack?

Are Trump's charges about the stolen election wrong?

Yes

Trump inciting a riot based on his lies is closer to W Bush calling for war in Iraq.

Holy frick the Left's delusion is unreal.

Let's assume, for a minute, that Trump's rhetoric did incite the riot at the Capitol (FTR, I am about 60/40 that he did NOT incite the riot). I think the death toll from the riot (which is stretched to begin with) is 5 - I may be wrong but not by much. The war in Iraq that Bush started with his lies (yes, they were lies) led to THOUSANDS of dead Americans.

Read the transcript of Trump's speech and tell me where he incited violence. He didn't. In fact, this is an excerpt from that very speech:
quote:

Because you’ll never take back our country with weakness. You have to show strength and you have to be strong. We have come to demand that Congress do the right thing and only count the electors who have been lawfully slated, lawfully slated.

I know that everyone here will soon be marching over to the Capitol building to peacefully and patriotically make your voices heard.

The fact is, you leftists are the greatest threat to the First Amendment in this country's history. The left's disingenuous and expansive definition of "inciting a riot" is simply a ruse to convince their idiot followers to criminalize opposition speech.

History tells us that all wars are resource wars.

Japan attacked Pearl Harbor because we blockaded their oil fields with our Pacific fleet.

PS: The Civil War was caused by the fashion industry. All about cotton.

The OP compared Trump inciting the riots to WW2. So yes, even on that level the Iraq War is closer.

I think he incited the riot by promoting a protest for over a month and by using violent rhetoric through minions over that time. And while he personally wasn't over the top on January 6th, his family members and friends who spoke to the crowd certainly were.

Yeah, Trump incited a riot that was planned weeks before his speech, occurred during his speech, and when he specifically called for people to protest peacefully.

I suppose Maricopa County is refusing subpoenas because everything in the election was perfectly honest and above board.

The ironic thing about this is:

The American people did not want to be involved in WW2. They were content to ignore and live their daily lives because that is what core Americans do. BUT bombing Pearl Harbor was stepping way over the line, and then the gloves were off. We kicked axis power arse, they didn't even know what hit them.

Well Biden and Congress keeping on with the removal of our Constitutional rights will have the same effect. They are going to find out real Americans won't stand for that crap.
