This goes back to the whole "he's not Presidential..." thing that so many have criticized him for. He's not "Presidential" and he doesn't really care to be. That's the point. He's there to do a job and fix the problem, not provide meaningless and symbolic gestures that won't be appreciated by anyone and won't solve anything.
I don't like his style personally but I understand what he's doing and why he's doing it.

It's similar to the "mean boss" that people don't like but they are thankful for their job and the money they are making because that boss knows how to run their business. Your boss isn't there to be your friend.

Look at that tweet in the other thread about a call to war over the term "looter" being somehow synonymous with being black. That's not even remotely true yet that sort of rhetoric is what will bring us to civil war if one happens.

I think his point is that when the National Guard (military) gets involved then all bets are off. The military will do what the military will do when it comes to stopping an riots/looting/destruction.
