Sooo.....in a Hollywood movie. Like Die Hard or something.
Okay...in movies, I will be okay with police scrambled communications
But your fear of scrambled transmissions is based solely on science fiction.

Do you not understand that almost anyone with a smartphone can download NUMEROUS apps capable of scanning PD radios?
I understand and I think that is great. As communities we need more information on what our police forces are doing, not less.

It's the main reason their doing it.
I’m shocked that police departments want less scrutiny.

Should all information we receive from government come via FOIA requests?
It seems some are fine with that for police. That should also be fine for all parts of government?

Less scrutiny? You do realize almost all big LEA's require body cams?
BTW it protects officers as well as defendents.
LEO's are under more scrutiny than almost any other public servant
Once again,if this REALLY bothers you just file a FOIA request and listen to your harts content.

lolol you about 20 years behind. I worked for a very small and broke PD in 98. We had 3 full time officers and we all had our radios encrypted. Why wouldn't they ? People who think encryption is not needed are just idiots.
