Cam Mueller compel the president to testify?

Yes - when people take the 5th, immunity can be granted, compelling testimony. I think that could be argued in this context because Mueller could say you can't charge a POTUS in the conventional sense, like in an Article III court setting. The counter would be adjudication by the sentate is a "conviction" that will carry a sentence of the senate's choosing. However, one of the limits of the senate is that they can't send someone to jail, but an Article III, regular federal court that we are all familiar with can do that.

In any event, Dershowitz, for the reason above on compelling testimony says Trump should not take the 5th but should instead take the 6th - meaning Trump says he'd love to answer questions but there's been no explicitly stated crime, thus no accuser, and he is effectively deprived of 6th amendment rights in confronting his accuser as a result and thus can't answer questions.

Jjdoc is off his meds again. Perjury is not a crime defined by the whim of a prosecutor.

The reason you are even thinking about perjury in regard to Trump is because you also believe he is pathologically incapable of speaking truthfully when under oath. I agree with you.

Well he could always try telling the truth. Never too old to try something new man.

They were always going after Trump on something like this. He should not speak to anyone on Muller's team for that reason.

A lie is a false statement made with the intent to deceive.

So, he can make false statement with no intent but the danger is that that leaves it up to the prosecutor to make subjective judgements about intent.

You never want to leave your fate to subjective judgements by those who have an obvious bias against you.

I agree that it is a trap that he was walking into, until those impatient idiots began raiding all his compatriots. He will never talk to them now.

I don’t think that even you really believe that.

Who stated that he defines it. I stated clearly it's his choice on whom to believe.

It is when they have the authority to charge.

That's false for a few reasons:

1) No one's memory is perfect. There's been lots of research on eye witness testimony being incorrect. People misremember things even if they THINK they're telling the truth.

2) There's so many laws on the books that no attorney, no judge, no human being is aware of them all. The more you talk, the more likely a witch hunter is to dig up some arcane legal code and charge you with it.

3) What is truth? If person A says this happened and person B says "no, that's not what happened" who are we to believe? Who determines "truth?"

4) If I talk to Mother Therssa for hours on end, I guarantee you I can catch her in a lie.

You are an idiot, but your opinions make it remarkably so.

Just post bullshite links and false propaganda.

It’s what you are truly best at being the worst.
