Next time I need some internet nobody to lecture me on what I should and should not do I will remember this thread.
And then ignore it.

That's not how it worked. A single rifle could not have several features on it at the same time. One of those features was a high capacity magazine. HOWEVER, if the rifle was lacking some of the other features, a high cap mag was legal.
High capacity mags were never banned - they were still being manufactured and sold (legally) all throughout the ban years.

There's just too goddamn much of that mindset
What in the ever living frick?
Its a poor mindset to say that you would have ended the slaughter of innocent, unarmed children by killing the murderer?
Youre a demented human being

And the next time you post about what you 'would have done', you'll be the same kid trying to look tough. Nobody's buying it, might as well stop trying to sell it.

No need to sell it. I have served for over thirty years now. I have never had to use my weapon to take the life of anyone. For that I am thankful. But I am trained and proficient in its use. And will use it as necessary in the defense of others. Just stating a fact.
Keep digging though boy. I am sure you will really get one.
Eventually.

Being mildly observant doesn’t mean anything other than I’m mildly observant.
You’re dumb. Full stop.

You really think that's a poor mindset?
I would reserve judgement until I had more information.

They were pretty clearly banned, but if manufactured before the law went I to effect, they could still be sold.

I don't think it's as easy to take a life as you think it is. I've never done it nor have I ever been in a situation that called for it but I can definitely see that's it not some easy task to pull off.

Do not disagree with you in the least bit. Again, the restraint that the principal used was admirable. I cannot say I would use the same restraint. Just stating a fact.

Let me get this straight, a guy praises the asst. principle for doing the right thing (which he did) and then says that's not what he would've done - implying that he would not have done the right thing, he would've killed another human being without thinking. I indicate that guns aren't the problem, the problem is people thoughtlessly killing other people. Then you call me names. I'm going to guess that you disagree with my statement.
So, tell us why you think guns are the problem.

You went way beyond that. You said he was guaranteed a trial. While he’s in the act of killing people, he’s guaranteed no such thing. You’re an idiot and you know it.

Are you still crying over this?
Get over it.
Get over it.

Even when not necessary? Perhaps you need more training.
Something tells me that if you were in the same position as Joel, you probably would've done the same thing he did. Don't be so hard on yourself.
Posted on 2/21/18 at 8:19 pm to WildTchoupitoulas
Nah. I would have done what I am trained to do. I would have identified a threat and then eliminated it. Kudos to Joel.

I said no such thing, link?

There does seem to be a lot of lack of restraint going around.
That was kind of my point.
