His letter to his friend

quote:

I am not insane, I am angry. I killed because people like me are mistreated every day. I did this to show society, push us and we will push back. ... All throughout my life, I was ridiculed, always beaten, always hated. Can you, society, truly blame me for what I do? Yes, you will. ... It was not a cry for attention, it was not a cry for help. It was a scream in sheer agony saying that if you can't pry your eyes open, if I can't do it through pacifism, if I can't show you through the displaying of intelligence, then I will do it with a bullet.

Whoa.

Probably, although this was during the assault weapon ban, so the magazine would have likely had 10 rounds or less at the time.

Nope. Hi caps were available.

As I recall he was involved with a group of kids that claimed to be Satanists they tortured pets and stuff but it was just a group of losers.

Yes, several of them were implicated. Charges were dropped on 3 of them (because they couldn't prove it) and 2 of them were convicted.

Supposedly they dabbled in the occult, but of course that kind of thing is almost always just a few losers drawing pentagrams on shite trying to be edgy.

It sounds to me that they actually inspired Harris and Klebold at Columbine. Trench coats and all. That's why we have to stop publicizing this shite.

How did that work, as I'm not well versed in the intricacies of the ban.

Why do you hate the Constitution?

Our problem isn't guns, our problem is that so many of us think so lightly of taking other people's lives.

The ban wasn't really a ban. All it did was ban some cosmetic features of the rifles. High capacity mags were never "banned."

Cutting straight to the personal attack doesn't exactly make you look like a genius.

Have a take, don't suck.

I have never taken anyone’s life. But if anyone ever deserved it, it was that kid. And that principal applied tremendous restraint. Kudos to him. Cannot say that I would have.

Thank God he didn’t have one of these. He could’ve bashed several kids head once it jammed after the first shot.

The Act also prohibited the transfer and possession of "large capacity ammunition feeding devices" (LCAFDs). An LCAFD was defined as "any magazine, belt, drum, feed strip, or similar device manufactured after the date [of the act] that has the capacity of, or that can be readily restored or converted to accept, more than 10 rounds of ammunition".[11]

Yeah, I was aware of the grandfathered aspect of it. I assume you weren't buying one off the shelf brand new in 1997, but I guess you could have bought one second hand.

The Constitution says he deserves a trial. I agree with the Constitution.

Then I seriously doubt this:
quote:

I would have shot the kid and not thought twice about it.

A friend of mine shot a man in the head once while being held up at gunpoint. It nearly ruined his life - and there were really no legal ramifications. You never know how you'll respond until you're in the middle of a situation - and then you never know how you'll respond afterwards.

Don't make brash statements just to look like an internet tough guy. Killing people is serious shite, we just take it too lightly these days.

Most new purchases would come with a hi cap magazine. There were huge amounts of them available up until the end of the ban.
