Even if the Islam thing is true, I have my suspicions about just how religiously motivated this would be.
Quite possible a crazy guy converted to Islam and cut off someone's head because he's nuts, rather than a true believer trying to really engage in religious warfare or terrorism.

Well we are going to leap to conclusions anyway and assume he beheaded her because he converted to Muslim and was simply following the Islamic Commandment of beheading a peaceful Christian.

We'll see, but something so close in time (conversion and the beheading) makes me skeptical. Even if he's mostly just crazy, there are probably appropriate criticisms of Islam here (say, if he got a hold of radical literature which inspired this), but this probably isn't the type of broad scale, random Islamic violence America fears or should fear.
