This Biden Administration had plenty of time to assess the situation, then open negotiations with Russia to address Russia's security and border concerns. There was plenty of time for honest talk.

Biden was either unwilling or unable to intervene to avert this catastrophe - he failed. His people failed. They ignored the situation.

Biden wants to be the "Leader of the Free World" but when REAL WORK in that department presents itself, he and his cronies fail to take charge and try to solve the problem.

And here we are.

I agree that's what should have happened, but the maniacs who run our foreign policy behind the scenes never would have let it. I'm not sure why. Maybe they loved all the sweet cash from Ukrainian energy companies. Or, they enjoy the idea of bleeding out Russia with an Afghanistan style conflict in Ukraine. I wonder if the average Ukrainian would have preferred a neutrality deal to having their country eviscerated?
