There is a ton of literature on how Lenin weaseled his way into power. It’s a common myth that the Russian people overthrew the Tsar en mass. Biggest mistake ever made were by fellow Soviets who walked out on Lenin because they thought he was crazy.

I wonder how differently the USSR would’ve turned out had it been Trotsky that got power after Lenin?

Wouldn't the answer also tend to be the most unjust war ever fought, just from the opposite perspective? Hmmm.

Do Muslims not experience a much higher percentage of the wars/violence than the rest of the world?

Very different. Stalin was a monster. Trotsky much more sensible and well liked.

guess if you would have to choose a war, I guess it would be World War II. Germany and Japan were, after all, evil empires
Not even close.Any war in which Stalin was on the "right side"wasn't just or moral.
We also firebombed civilian targets in Dresden and Tokyo.Hell,Curtis Lemay admitted he would have been considered a war criminal under different circumstances.
I would say the Korean War was as moral and just war as this country as participated in.Look at the 2 Koreas now and you can see a clear difference between good and evil.

Exactly, putting two regimes in power that kill 200 million people is OK, but destroying a regime fighting the people that killed a 100 million is the best thig ever ever

but I was under the impression the west didn't really know about and/or believe the holocaust was going on at the time and it wasn't until after troops started moving into the heart of German occupied territory that we knew what was going on.
Yeah, almost none of this is accurate. There was plenty of information getting out about the Holocaust.
Now, the West probably didn't know the breadth and scope of the extermination operation (hell, many folks within the Reich leadership didn't know all these details), but they knew it was going on.

This reminds me. I read an article a few months ago about the oldest surviving histories of ancient war. The Indians (feather) and Africans (SubSah) probably had some terrific wars a thousand years before Europeans arrived. But they didn't have writing so nothing survived.
OTOH, an ancient historian in Europe/Asia could walk into the palace of an enemy monarch and offer to chronicle his rule. The king's ego took over: 'Sure, just make sure you spell my name right.'

Occurring right now. Homeland USA. Outcome will have world-wide, decades long history turning effects.
Enjoy the view.
