"This is all very confusing. "86" is simply a restaurant term. In a restaurant, to "86" something means an item is out of stock, and must be removed from the menu. This is often due to lack of ingredients, poor quality, or high demand. It is a vital, fast-paced industry term indicating that a dish is sold out, or perhaps that a guest is no longer welcome. It doesn't refer to anything else."

Get a confederate tattoo and go apply at the fbi, see how that goes… comey knows exactly what he was inferring. Speaking of that, the feds should be hired and held accountable the same way as the military with the UCMJ. It would fix a lot of problems. Bet most feds think they’re above civilians, start holding them accountable with Comey being first.

86 enters the restaurant business long after the navy and mob used the term. The meaning is to sink something in the deep blue.
When the mob started to take over the restaurants in New York and Chicago and started to run the 100's of speakeasys that is when 86 entered the restaurant business.
You can find letters from the 1890's from the Navy talking about 86ing the garbage.
The mob picked it up by around the 1900's.

I don't watch Fake Fox, but I saw a clip on YouTube where they were bending over backwards to equate the "86" term with only being a restaurant term.
