Obama was wonderful.

If 4,000 had to die to show his wondrousness, so be it.

I don’t think COVID-19 hysteria and the corresponding impact on the market will impact how people vote.

The libtards think Putin wants Trump in the whitehouse. The market crash has less to about the Coronavirus, Putin intentionally went to war with Saudi oil to kill shal in hopes of the outcome he produced. Thus goes oil, thus went the market.

I remember it and obviously so do you, but Corona will be in the back of everyones mind this time next year, not giving one shite about it, just like H1N1

If this is in fact the case, Trump should spill it all and take the whole thing down with him. These A-holes have been doing everything possible to get Trump out of office and it’s sad to know our country has fallen this far.

Trump has, in the end, outsmarted and out maneuvered them on every other occasion and come out on top. I expect nothing different with this latest "crisis/issue". Now, how long before he does beat this new shite down is the question.

There is an obvious difference in the media response between the two. Whether that affects votes is certainly up for debate. It won’t be for lack of trying.

Only if this persists >6mos.

Trump is handling this well. The CDC let him down badly in getting tests out. Aside from that, he's doing fine. But the CDC screw up made it one helluva lot harder to get the outbreak controlled in a timely manner.

True. It’s also noteworthy that the election is still 8 months away.

If you don’t think they are doing everything in their power to swing the election, you are living in la-la land.

I get that you are nervous that this might cost Trump the reelection, but that's just stupid. Coronavirus is at the top of the Fox News web page too along with every major news organization around the world. The world doesn't just revolve around Trump you know? No one outside the US gives a shite if Trump doesn't get reelected or not. They are just trying to deal with an epidemic that's spreading rapidly around the world.

I remember it being covered wall to wall despite the fact that it happened in the latter months of the acute part of the GFC.

It actually would have been interesting to see what Trump would have done, as it originated in Mexico.

Agreed! They along with politicians, won’t let a “crisis” go to waste. But if your vote is swung BC the media is laying blame of the corona virus on Trump...you’re to dumb to help.

And it was major news for months and months.

CNN - WHO: Swine Flu Not Stoppable

Biden generates stir by saying not to take trains and planes

NYT - article about Obama taking heat for mis-messaging the vaccine situation

I think this is a false meme to compare Wuhan Flu to Swine Flu. For one, swine had a vaccine within months (in fact, the conspiracy theory on that one from the usual crazies was they were intentionally giving us Gillian-Barre.) But also, it broke out in Mexico and Obama was immediately on top of it. Also, the stock market was one month from its deep financial crisis lows when the first case came out already.
