I am not sad at all.
Let's face it, he only went because his lack of interest in the troops was hurting his image and he needed a diversion from the shutdown, the December stock market decline and multiple investigations.
Everything is a prop for Trump. He even made the trip about politics not the troops. It wasn't supposed to be a campaign rally. He doesn't get that. Then again, he doesn't get anything that's not centered on his glory and self aggrandizement. A total asshat and America's Fat Bastard.

This is just wrong to say that’s the reason he went visit the troops. You can always say a President is trying to get away from something or trying to change the story. Truth is they seemed happy to see POTUS just like when Obama and Bush went visit them.

I’ve seen Trump go many places without cameras or press to shake hands with police or hospital workers etc.. On another note, I can understand not liking this President. But I think he genuinely loves the troops. He loves them enough to tell the military brass to start bringing them home. 69% think we can’t win war in Afghanistan. The Generals would have us there another 17 years.
