re: The latest Republican Save Act move is entirely performative.

They want us pissed off enough to not vote in the midterms They want us to believe Tucker can hijack and divide with confusion. They want us thinking there are millions of Nick Fuentes, Candace supporters.

If tweet fails to load, click here. Thune set the vote up for Wednesday rather than Tuesday because he knows it will fail and it is the day AFTER the drop out deadline in Texas runoff so John Cornyn can’t drop out at that point after Cornyn will have failed to deliver the SAVE AMERICA ACT. Remember, everything playing out in DC on this is kabuki theater.

I’ve voted for Trump three times and this term has been a disaster. DOGE didn’t even last three months, deportations are historically low compared to other presidents, we retreated from Minnesota after enough militant, wacky leftists complained, and now we’re doing Israel’s bidding in the Middle East. All the while, Trump and the Republican Congress are pretending cost of living issues don’t exist anymore.
Remember,,,No Kings,,,,Trump is not a King.
545 individuals run the USA.
435 Representatives
100 Senators
9 Supreme Court Justices
1 President
(Not included is numerous US District Judges that tie things up in court)
Trump can do some things by Executive Order.
Legislation requires the House & Senate to work together to pass laws and policy proposed by the President.
His DOJ, FBI, CIA, etc still get obstacles thrown at them by the courts.
Congress is complicated by all the rules in which I don’t think anyone even knows all the rules, and they make shite up when their is no rule.
Some solutions cause unintended consequences. Some people exist just to screw shite up. The media is in lockstep with the Democrats trying to ruin our country.
It amazing that we get anything done. To most Americans (myself included), all the fighting and bickering has not negatively affected me personally. Do not be afraid to speak up and act at the local level when government tries to overstep their bounds.

Really?
It wasn't my post you responded to and I have no idea how Trump's deportation numbers compare to other presidents, but I do know this - his administration's performance on deportations relative to promises is woeful. In 2025, with a humongous budget, with double the ICE agents, we deported about 350K illegals of the 10-15 million Biden invitees. The 350K doesn't include self-deportations (and shouldn't) or border crossers turned back at the border (and shouldn't).
That's not close to what it should be.

They could vote on the House bill without the filibuster even being relevant. And the bill would pass with only 50 senate votes.
How could the bill be passed through reconciliation?

The do-nothing Republicans control the presidency, House, Senate, and the Supreme Court, and they are worried about voter ID. Useless pieces of shite. Hand them power and they can't get anything meaningful done.

Trump's endorsement might not be worth much in May.

The Thune and Cronyn types owe their respective souls to the corrupt system, same as the Democrats

Everyone needs to realize what is going to play out, more than likely.
The GOPe doesn't look like they're wanting to retain the majority. They could force the SAVE Act (a literal 85/15 issue among ALL Americans) right now and pass it into law. But they don’t.
Why? Because it's modus operandi for Establishment Uniparty Swampers. They'll delay passage of SAVE until the midterms are upon us and their imminent loss is apparent, and then they'll appear to push to pass it in a lame duck Congress to no avail, and return as a minority to screech about how "Democrats won't pass the SAVE Act, an 85/15 issue!! Reeeeee!"
It's all so obvious.
I'm praying that Trump finds some serious leverage to get the dissenter RINO GOPe swampers to get on board and force SAVE into passage. I want to be wrong in my predictions at the top of this post. But seeing these similar scenarios play out like above, always, has conditioned me to accept that repeating the same actions produces the same results.

Stopped reading. This is when you made it clear your post is just fanfiction.

quote:This is what people forget. It's not about the Republican/Democrats being in the majority. The GOPe and the democrats make up the Uniparty. So, if the GOPE OR the Democrats win, they are in the "majority".
The GOPe doesn't look like they're wanting to retain the majority.
That's why draining the swamp was such an important thing to do. Sadly, the opportunity has been squandered, and "MAGA" has shifted to protecting the swamp rather than draining it. The GOPE smells victory. It's TeaParty 2.0, only easier to defeat.
