Why would he want to destroy that rifle? He should put it up on gunbroker.

He doesnt want it to become a symbol. This was brought up during his interview with Crowder.

As far as I can tell that cop was just a bitch who was randomly firing live ammunition into a crowd...while he, himself, was hiding off to the side, having zero confrontation with the group.

Agreed, but homeboy is the poster child of the left.

Rittenhouse is also looking to retrieve the ammunition, the sling and the magazine from the firearm, his cellphone, a cloth face mask, the clothing he was wearing the night of the shootings and a $1 bill.

LOL @ wanting "to destroy" the stuff...

That baw is setting up a shrine.

Kenosha(to the tune of El Paso by Marty Robbins)

Always liked that song!

Love the new lyrics, but I'm too old to memorize them, I still don't have the original ones down yet.

I would love to know why you even have to go to court to get it back? It's yours. They took it for evidence and you got acquitted. End of story. Our government is so f***** up

The only thing my mind can come up with is if it was still material evidence for another case related to the incident...otherwise, it needs to be returned without a hassle. He has already been put through the ringer enough!

This. It should have been handed to him packaged in a box as he exited the building

At the time of his acquittal it was still being used as evidence in the case against Dominick Black so he didn't really have a legal claim to ask for the gun back at that time.

My only possible thought is that it is material evidence in the case against his friend for a straw purchase.

Why would he destroy it? I would put that sucker on the mantle above the fireplace.

He said on Crowder that it's got negative memories having used it to kill 2 people so he doesn't really want it and he's not comfortable with the idea of it being auctioned off and in a museum or a collection or something.

That IS his rifle. There are many like it, but that one IS his.

Hope he isn't giving up on his ability to defend himself. He can get another one if he so chooses. And he is free to not get another one.

Is he going after any defamation lawsuits currently? That's really what I wanted to see from him.

Where did this happen? I’d love to take a crack at its recovery.
