Or maybe the little kid with their fingers stuck in their ears hoping it will go away.

Pick one.

And what exactly indicates that I'm doing nothing?

And what is it that you are doing other than typing on a message board?

Dude. Read on.

I literally said this: I'd prefer to take the Alan Jacobs approach over the Rod Dreher alarmism.

Our political attention has become Trump's political attention. Our forgiveness has become Trump's forgiveness. Our willingness to understand, our willingness to grant others good faith has sunk to Trump's non existing patience with such things.

Now, more than ever, we are likely to immediately dismiss someone by one position that they hold, or because of who they associate with, or because of who they are often associated with according to others, or worse still, over a misunderstanding of what they said.

You see it in this thread with the gentlemen who was immediately upset with me for linking in article that mentioned Rod Dreher in a positive light in the first sentence. Well, If he had given it another five minutes then he would have realized that the article is anti Dreher and that I in this thread am anti Dreher.

To go further with the same example, the gentlemen immediately dismissed Dreher due to the suspicion that he is gay, as if that is the only thing worth knowing about him and is enough to judge all of his work (as if he can have no good ideas). For what it's worth, I'm not a fan of Dreher's ideas, but it has nothing to do with the suspicion that he might be gay.

Trump, in large, caused this type of impatience because he embodies impatience and thoughtlessness.

Yeah. It’s pretty crazy how democrats didn’t work to divide the nation over Trump.

Based off Trump's COVID response alone, it should preclude him from ever being considered for any public office above that of dog catcher. It amazes me that the majority of the Republican base gives him a pass on it. He's unelectable and will lose to Biden....... Again.

I know you probably don't care about the way people treat each other, but he has made things much, much, worse in that arena.

The example he sets is embarrassingly bad.
If you legitimately would want your five year old to treat others the way that Trump addresses his oppenents then I'm truly at a loss.

So if you believe the economy is everything just admit that so I can feel sorry for you all over again.

when the public has been brainwashed against Trump for almost a decade, this is the result. The weak minded are always the most susceptible

That statement is hyperbolic, but almost everyone outside of the Trump cult agrees with her sentiment. And the Trump cult is objectively stupid and gullible. So I don’t expect you’d have an objective take on the matter.

He has been impatient. Waiting for the next fake impeachment. Next wire tap. Next BS charge. Next fake civil trial. Next false news story. Next attack by the FBI and DoJ. And all the warm fuzzies given to him by Dems and Pubs alike. You are right my man. Trump is one impatient dude.
Hey. Lets make Biden spell 'impatient'. No?

Do you think the reason behind all of this nonsense is found in his policy or is persona?

I'm not saying it's fair, but he's done nothing to help himself.

I don't speak of Biden. He's non existent.
